(no subject)
One of my fave games on pogo.com is Battleship. I'm pretty good at it. What ELSE I love is when I'm playing against a guy, especially if he's at the highest level (50), and he just can't take losing. Instead of leaving it at "gg (good game)", "nj (nice job)" or "my turn to win next! ;)", he says the typical guy comments.
1st game: "You won against the robot gg" (When he came in, I'd played the first two rounds with a bot. Therefore, the REST of the game was because of that...)
2nd game: This was a SUPER close game. We were both one shot between us hitting the last ship, but I got it. "You got lucky with those heat-seeking missles" (A special perk of the game is clicking on the right 'buffs' in special green squares, one of which will aim missles directly at another person's ships showing where they're on the board. What he failed to mention is that HE got a few, himself.)
3rd game: "Again, another lucky game" At this point I got kinda sick of saying, "yw!" (you're welcome) and said "Ah, I know how to play it ;)" to which HE replied, "but you wouldn't have won it without those heat-seeking missles". I got annoyed and said, "Yea... but it's still me playin'...?" "O yes" he said, and we played another game.
4th game: I get an awesome buff where just one shot can take a whole ship. I'd found out where his ships were, had only two shots but got the last two. It had been kinda close, but I got him. "You got the luck of the day... gg, hagd" (have a good day) I said "You too!" Lol.
To me, this guy couldn't stand losing to not just a new level 10, but a chick, especially since Battleship is a male-dominated game in most respects. Yes, I had some luck, but I know how to feckin' play, damn it. To him, he's the skillful one who lost to a chick that "just got lucky", rather than playing against a good player.
Me and Pan had some heavy discussion last night as to how men treat women; I was actually upset after reading YT comments in a 'Comfort Women' video (warning: very cruel, trigger-filled sad stuff. No video, just wiki). I just couldn't help it. I know it's stupid to get upset with dickless dweebs that have been turned down by chicks and therefore blame the entire female population for their own issues, but y'know? It's like, I'm so sick of that crap.
So here's a poll, mainly for the chicks (that ain't sexist to me; I use it all the time!), but the Joes can hop in, too.
