And I'm talking with Hal tomorrow. He's SO supportive of all this stuff I'm not allowed to talk about at seminary: queerness, postmodernity, power. He keeps encouraging me to say, "There IS NOTHING INHERENT TO THE TEXT." He wants me here. He wants my work. He thinks my work is important. I don't think I've ever heard that in particular before: that my THINKING is valuable, necessary and new. I like that.
I remember having to block Alex's e-mail too at one point during that break-up. God, all I wanted was not to go through the Alex break-up again, and here I am.
