“Tora!” Nao screamed.
He was standing on the top of a cliff and looked down onto the wild, black sea his beloved Tora had fallen into of the cliff right in front of his eyes.
“Tora!” Nao screamed again and again but got no answer.
Of course he wouldn’t. His, yes his, Tora had fallen into the sea. There was no way he could answer him.
Nao hadn’t noticed how tears had started to streak down his cheeks. He started sobbing and whimpered from the loss of his beloved.
He felt his knees give in and when he fell onto the ground he felt sharp stones cut into his skin but he couldn’t have cared less. His beloved Tora was gone so what did it matter that his knees where cut open and bleeding? He only wanted to have him back but he knew it was impossible. What the sea had once swalloed was never to see the sky again.
He felt how the shadows creept up from behind his eyelids and he welcomed them immediately. He let himself fall into them and embrace him. He hid in them from the dark world that took his Tora away from him.
When Tora woke up it was still dark outside. The room was lit only by the streetlamps light. He wondered what woke him up because he was a very tight sleeper and wouldn’t wake up until his alarm would ring or his lover would wake him up.
He then heard a sob and turned to his side. He blinked his eyes a few times to get used to the light that hit him from outside and when he was able to see he felt his heart hitch a beat.
His beloved Nao was curled up into a ball and was crying like a child that lost his mother.
“Nao?” Tora asked alarmed but the only answer he got was a sob.
“Hey, Nao” he leaned over Nao but the blanket hindered him from seeing Nao’s face. “Baby, what’s wrong? Nao?” Nao just went on crying and gave sobs from him every now and then.
“Tora” His name spoken with so much pain made Tora cring.
He carefully tugged at the blanket and slowly revealed Nao’s face. It was full of dry tears and still flowing ones.
He wondered what made his beloved Nao cry like that. What nightmare he had.
“Nao, baby, please wake up” Tora coed.
He grabed Nao’s shoulder and shoke him lightly. Nao sobbed even more.
“No, let go of me! Don’t make me go back into that cold, cruel world.”Nao wanted to get rid of the hand on his shoulder.
“Don’t take me back into a world where Tora isn’t!”
He wanted to grab that hand, take it of from his shoulder, put it away, make it leave. Just make it leave so that it couldn’t drag him back.
But the hand wouldn’t let go. It only tightened it’s grip on him. Shoke him harder.
“No” he begged.
“Please stop! Please just stop!” He cried and sobbed but the hand wouldn’t let go.
“Nao, baby, hey I’m here. Wake up please Nao, please wake up.” It sounded like Tora’s voice but that couldn’t be.
No, it wasn’t possible. He had seen how is beloved Tora had fallen of the cliff into the sea. He wasn’t able to call him anymore.
“Go away! You can’t be Tora! He’s gone! He isn’t able to call me anmyore!” Nao screamed.
“Go away! You can’t be Tora! He’s gone! He isn’t able to call me anymore!”
Nao’s screaming made Tora get an idea what his beloved had been dreaming of.
He bent down and hugged Nao.
“Nao. I am here. I didn’t go anywhere and I won’t go anywhere. Never!” He kissed him on the eyelids. He licked the tears away and coed Nao again and again to wake up.
“Nao. I am here. I didn’t go anywhere and I won’t go anywhere. Never!” Nao felt some lips kissing his eyelids. He also felt a tongue lick his tears away and heard the voice that sounded like Tora’s coe him to wake up again and again.
Wake up… Wait did that mean he was asleep?! But- but that couldn’t be! It had all been so real- the way Tora had fallen of the cliff, the way the stones had cut into his knees, everything had felt so real…
But the hand that had shoken him, the arms that hugged him, the lips that kissed him, the tongue that had licked his tears away, the voice that had called him- It all had sounded and felt even more real… Maybe he really was just sleeping- maybe his Tora really was still alive and trying desperately to wake him up right now.
But maybe what he had seen was the reality, maybe the voice, the hand and everything else had only been a dream?!
Nao didn’t know anymore. He didn’t know what to believe anymore. He felt like he should believe Tora’s voice but maybe- maybe his mind was playing a trick on him?! Maybe Tora really was dead and he only didn’t want to accept it, so his mind played him?!
But on the other hand… it felt so real the hand, the voice.
“God, my god” Nao sobbed. “What should I do?! Tora, help me! Please Tora, just help me!” He cried and his hands dug into the arms around him.
“God, my god. What should I do?! Tora help me! Please Tora, just help me!”
Tora felt his heart break of the desperate sound in the voice of his beloved. He hugged him tighter, kissed him on the forehead, shooed him like you would with a baby.
He told Nao again and again that he was there right beside him, that he wouldn’t leave him and that nothing could ever make him leave Nao.
But all his efforts didn’t wake Nao up. No matter what he said Nao wouldn’t wake up. He would keep sleeping and crying for Tora’s help.
Tora didn’t know what he should do anymore and in a last desperate attempt to wake the beloved crying creature in his arms up, he pressed his lips against Nao.
He kissed him with all his love, with everything he was.
When Nao felt warm lips on his own he felt his heart give a beat of joy. He felt like he could believe, oh finally believe, in his Tora. Felt like his mind didn’t play a trick on him anymore.
He wrapped his arms around the broad body that was hugging him and it felt so very familiar and right, he just believed in the voice and slowly opened his eyes.
As soon as Tora felt Nao’s arms around him he opened his eyes and his hope grew. It grew and made him believe that finally his beloved would wake up.
When he saw those beloved deep brown eyes lay there sight on him he felt his heart hitch a beat of joy.
His Nao had finally woken up from the nightmare that kept him crying and made him so sad.
He released Nao’s lips and breathed a sigh of relieve.
“Nao” He smiled at him and saw how a small smile was given back to him. “Oh Nao, baby. You don’t know how much you scared me.”
“I’m sorry” Nao whispered. His voice was still horace from all the crying.
“No!” Tora almost shouted. “No, Nao! Don’t be sorry. Please don’t be sorry! It’s not your fault that you had a nightmare and wouldn’t wake up. Please don’t think that way. Never!”
He starred intensly at Nao and waited until Nao gave a small nod. He then bent down again and gave Nao a short kiss on the lips before he hugged him thight again as if he’d never let go of him.
Nao just smiled into the kiss and was happy that he had his beloved Tora back and that in the end he wasn’t lost.
Tora had kept the promise he had given him three years ago on the fateful day they got together.
He snuggeld back into the covers and just let himself be hold by Tora.
When Nao woke up again it was already morning and the sun shone into the bedroom and onto his face.
He turned to hide his face against Tora’s broad chest and only then did he take notice of the beloved presence of the guitarist missing.
“Tora?” He sat up in the bed and rubbed his eyes.
Tora was no where in sight but the bedroom door was open and he could hear sounds coming from the kitchen.
Nao smiled. ‘Looks like I’ll get breakfast in bed today’ His smile broadened.
He then heard light footsteps nearing and sunk back into the covers.
“Morning sunshine” Tora’s voice greeted him. “I see you’re already awake.”
Nao gave a grunt from him and felt the bed dip under the weight of another person sitting down onto it.
“How about some breakfast and after it we’ll take a walk in the park?”
He nodded and let himself be set into a sitting position by Tora.
Tora smiled at him and gave him one of the two cups on the tray filled with hot steaming coffee. Nao nodded in gratitude and took it from Tora.
He took a sip and smiled at the lovely taste of coffee.
Tora sat down next to Nao and after he had put the tray onto his legs he also leaned back against the head of their bed.
Nao leaned over to Tora and gave him a peck on the cheek.
“Thank you for the breakfast. It was delicious.”
Tora smiled. “No problem. I just wanted to do something for you.” He took the tray from his legs and put it on the bedsidetable on his right side.
He then got out of bed and held his right hand out to Nao.
“Shall we go and take a little walk?”
Nao smiled and took Tora’s hand.
He then screamed in surprise. Tora had bent down and token him up in his arms.
“Let’s go to the bathroom, ne?” Tora smirked at him.
Nao laughed and just gave him a playfull slap on his chest.
“You pervert!” He tried to get out of Tora’s arm but Tora’s grip was to tight on him and Nao didn’t really try anyway.
“Oh, come on Nao. You know you like it when I’m a pervert and don’t you dare deny it.”
Nao laughed and gave Tora another playful slap onto his chest.
Tora just laughed and started walking towards the bathroom.
No matter if it were nightmares or the cruel reality. They wouldn’t let anybody destroy their love.
