P. 101. *bangs head against wall* if the Black locket from OotP doesn't make perfect sense with Regulus A. Black by the end of the novel, I'll eat my fic notebook.
P. 107. Where have I heard the name "Apolline" before? That's unsettling.
P. 113. Fucking. Love. Ron. Weasley.
P. 114. Also, love the Prewetts. The fact that Molly's giving him her dead brother's watch is extremely sentimental and perhaps important. But a question strikes me: why didn't Fredn and George get the watches of the twin brothers they were named after but never met?
P. 116. I'm going to groan at every H/G part. On another note, Rowling writes H/G with such flowery descriptions and empty platitudes, like I write Cake. Funny.
P. 120. *says in Chandler voice* Norbert's a girl! Norbert's a girl!
P. 138. The idea that Fred learned broken French to hook up with hot French veela that may or may not soon be marriage-related to him cracks me up for some reason.
P. 141. I still stick by the fact that Harry/Luna would have been a cool and very appropriate canon pairing. Also, I sympathize with Auntie Muriel's prejudices - nice girl, but FRENCH.
P. 143. Krum! Krum, oh, how I've missed you so! And you come bearing plot-worthy info and make for interesting R/Hr bits. Psh, if I were Herm-own-ninny, I'd hit that.
P. 148. I love that Rowling works obversely - where Book 6 had important information from Book 2, Book 7 has important things from Book 1. How many readers besides the die-hard remember that Dumbledore defeated Grindelwald in 1945?
P. 153. Always good to include an old drunk to tie in vital back information into the plot. Feels almost cliche, but at this point I'm so engrossed I don't really care.
P. 161. And can I just say how I'm enjoying all this R/Hr in here? Good Shippers have been waiting a decade for this stuff. Also, Tottenham Court Road! EEEEEEE, I lived right there when I was in London! I bought shit at Sainsbury's and saw Bridget Jones there! I LOVE JKR now!
P. 164. Oh. Em. Gee. I was trying to think if there were any "shabby cafes" around Tottenham Court Road, because the street itself doesn't really have any, there are pubs but mostly it's full of storefronts and furniture shops. But just off of Tottenham Court Road near the University of London is a quaint cafe called Lino's, where I used to buy cheap curry pocket potatoes and tea for 3 pounds with a student discount. It fits this description fairly perfectly - and it made me jump up and down in a forever-squee to think that, not that I went to a place in the Potterverse after the fact, but BEFORE she ever WROTE about it. Now I want to go back to London and Lino's Cafe is on the very top of my list.
P. 180. This is so far one of the saddest scenes in Book 7 for me, possible of the whole series.
P. 186. Finally! Geez, as if we didn't already know Regulug's initials were R.A.B.
P. 187. I have a feeling Regulus being a Seeker will be important when it comes to that Snitch Dumbledore bequeathed Harry.
