Opera has eated my head
Not that I'm complaining or anything...
I am currently in rehearsals for two different operas... well three...
Here's the breakdown...
I'm singing Alto chorus for Opera San Jose's production of Carmen
Which opens on April 18th at the California theater in downtown San Jose.
I'm singing three different roles for San Jose State University's double bill of Suor Angelica by Puccini and a premier of The Three Fat Women of Antibes by San Jose composer Mona Lyn Reese.
In Suor Angelica, I'll be playing Suor Zelatrice and Maestra della novizie on alternate nights
In The Three Fat Women of Antibes, I'll be playing Arrow every other night. I'll keep you posted which nights are what roles.
That opens on May 9th and runs for four nights.
And Yeomen of the Guard, well that's in June, but I don't know if I got that role.. Keep your fingers crossed.
So if you don't see me for a while, that's why. I have rehearsal all the time and if I'm not rehearsing, I'm practicing.
