For some reason, Max really likes the Killers so I get to hear their albums pretty much constantly. I think the thing is they are competent enough songwriters so that their songs sound decent the first 15 times but the radio overplays them so enthusiastically that they just make you want to leap out of the nearest window every other time. They do NOT stand up to repeated listening.

i've only actually heard like, three of their songs, but other than 'mr. brightside' i haven't really liked them particularly.

i don't understand how you can have a song with the chorus "somebody told me that you had a boyfriend that looked a girlfriend that i had in february of last year" and make it sound so damned serious and bored.

brandon flowers is just about the best name ever, though. i give them that.

What about "Boys & Girls" by Blur? It's basically the same thing, I assumed it was what they were ripping off.

i haven't heard that song, but i guess i would expect a blur song to be a little less serious and melodramatic, though i'm guessing from your comment that it is not?
