Oh glorious, glorious fic. And hi to our new members! I'm not sure how many there are (or even who you are) but it's nice to have you here. :D

Harry Potter
The Boy Who Stalked by Random Dent
Pairing: Harry/Draco
Rating: PG-13
Summary: Draco wants this to be slash. Harry wants Draco to leave him alone, now, please.
Quote: "Malfoy is stalking me." The only reason that Harry had ended up in Dumbledore's offices was that his own efforts to put Malfoy off had failed; the repulsion charms, not washing for a week, snogging just about every girl in the school and finally in desperation spreading rumours about himself preferring the company of centaurs. Malfoy had not got the hint.
I love Random Dent. I really do. Anything she writes is gold and hilarious. Have you read Bagenders? (Though Gryffindor is spelled without a "y" in this particular fic. Confusing).

The Chosen by Allecto (allecto)
Pairing: Crabbe/Harry
Rating: R
Summary: Sometimes we must sacrifice to save those we don't love.
Quote: "Whatever he may say, however he may treat you, remember always that you are a Slytherin. When all other houses are taken from you, you will always be one of Salazar's chosen."
I know you're looking at the pairing and hesitating. I know you are. Don't. I'm serious. This is Crabbe. I have no problem with a little OOC, but I shiver when I read such an in character Vincent. Who you will think of as Vincent after reading this. It's heartbreaking. I certainly can't resist a good heartbreak.

Dirty Trousers (dirtytrousers) by Skoosiepants (skoosiepants) (WiP)
Pairing: Um. Everyone?
Rating: PG-13, for language
Summary: A loosely put together AU about the HP gang in their early twenties. Their days are spent in Lupin's fish store, at the cafe, uni classes. Their nights mostly end up at Curly's pub, listening to Seamus rock out with his band, Dirty Trousers.
Quote: “Come on,” Terry coaxed. “It’ll be fun. And you’ll get to spend time with me, judging all my new friends. Think of it as more people to shower your intense dislike on. That always makes you happy.”
Blaise is stalking Hermione. Eeeeeeeeeeeee! I am addicted. And she does quick updates! You can't go wrong. You must friend. Must.

Friendly Wager by Flora* (florahart)
Pairing: Harry/Draco
Rating: NC-17
Summary: Draco and Harry make a bet.
Quote: "Shall we?" Draco dropped his broom to the ground. “Thought you’d never ask.” In a flash, he crossed to Harry and straddled his broom in front of him, facing him, and pressed their lips together again.
Hot. And amusing. But really, really hot. And the boys are ohsocute about teh secks.

Roses are Red by Cluegirl (cluegirl)
Pairing: Rudolphus/Bellatrix
Rating: NC-17
Warnings: Character death, necrophilia, cannibalism
Summary: A tragedy in five acts.
Quote: Her eyes transfixed him -- leaf-green from lid to lid, without trace of white or pupil to mar that blank, verdant gaze. Snape realized he was staring, sweating in his tight black robes, shaking with the urge to run -- but he couldn't make himself look away. A part of his brain, calm and precise, decided that birds must feel that way under a cobra's gaze.
I finished reading this about twenty minutes ago. I'm still shaking. Literally. Have you ever read a fic that gets a physical reaction from you (not that kind of reaction, sicko)? This did with me. I felt nauseous and shaky and I couldn't stop reading because it was just so believable twisted. And the ending. God. It's sick and it's evil and you need to read it. Seriously. But the warnings are no joke. If you can handle it, you have to read it. Meanwhile, I need to go be sick somewhere.

Lord of the Rings
A Scandal in the Shire by Random Dent
Pairing: Frodo/Sam
Rating: PG-13
Summary: The Shire can be an unfriendly place to be.
Quote: Frodo watched Sam in the garden as he had so often in the past, but now he knew what his growing fondness meant. He knew that the best thing to do was to dismiss Sam, to tell him to find work elsewhere, to get him away before he did anything that would shame either of them, but he knew he could not. For to make Sam leave would be to break his own heart but also to betray Sam, for he knew he could not make up a good reason for dismissing Sam, nor any reason for changing his behaviour. He and Sam had eaten together in Bag End since before Bilbo left, if he ended this Sam would need a reason, and Frodo could not give him the real one.
Sweet and angsty. (Considering I don't ship Sam/Frodo, you wouldn't think it would be the only pairing I rec.)

hp, lotr
