Yay subtlety. Yesterday A and I brought home the newest member of our family, a cute orange kitten named Logan, or, when we're feeling (and he's looking) particularly cute, Lolo. He is the most adorable thing I have ever seen, and it was so hard leaving him to come to work today. He spent most of yesterday playing with us (favorite toys include a bobber that dangles off of a fishing pole-like thing, little toy mice with bells, and, oddly enough, the ring off the top of the milk container (the cat book suggested that one), and he also explored every nook and cranny of the apartment.
Bringing Logan home has pretty much confirmed that I'm destined to be the mom in this family. I spent all day worrying, is he going to choke on this, is this enough food, is the apartment the right temperature, etc. A seemed a bit more relaxed about the whole thing. But what solidified the mom thing was when A stayed home yesterday afternoon to replace all the screens with pet-resistent mesh while I went out to the grocery store.
So yeah, I'm counting down until the end of the day so I can play with Logan a bit more. And trust me, there will be pictures because we took quite a few of them even yesterday, and I imagine we'll be taking a lot more.
