I arrived at your journal via mattblue. Just out of curiosity, where in Kobe do you live? My mom lives in Kobe and if I were to live in Japan again, I'd only want to live in Kobe.

I'm on the eastern edge of town between Sannomiya and Nishinomiya. (email me if you want something more specific than that; I'm just a little paranoid about leaving too many breadcrumbs on my public entries.)
and if I were to live in Japan again, I'd only want to live in Kobe.
That surprises me a bit: I'd think that Kobe would seem kind of podunk in comparison to New York and Tokyo. What's the draw for you?
I read through your journal and your entries are really fun -- do you mind if I read along?

Ya Ya, I'm 27 today. And I totally understand what you mean by being just a little paranoid about leaving too many breadcrumbs on my public entries. But that area between Sannomiya and Nishinomiya's so Kobe-like, if you know what I mean. I'd love to live somewhere along the Hankyu Kobe Line if I ever live in Kobe. And yes, I'd very much prefer to live in Kobe than Tokyo or even Osaka, for that matter, mainly because Kobe's still got character. Tokyo's just become this huge... mess, and it really got to me after living there for 9 years -- crowds everywhere, crazy people everywhere. Kobe's a small city but big enough that it's got places to go and have fun. And for a small city, the gaijin population's huge, and I like that. And thanks for the Friend add. I added you back. Yay! My very first Kobe Friend on Live Journal!!
