my birthday came and went. i undermine the importance of family celebration. usually, id be saying ,nahhh, no need to celebrate. but i realize how i like receiving the funny presents that my family gives me (usually packed in recycled boxes and smtg tt ive seen lying around the house). not cos of the presents, but cos of the effort and the fuss they make giving it to me. yeah, i realize that only now cos this yr, none gave me a present at all. neither did i have a cake. neither did i go out with them for a celebration cos my sister came home late and so we didn have time to go out.
but it wasn miserable one as usual cos i enjoyed the company of a very special person who took pains to surprise me and make me happy :) . and also, my first (and only) present :) . i had a good time, though it lasted for a mere 5hrs of bliss, basking in the glow of a happy birthday. :) thank you.
i also received several texts and am touched that every of them remembered my birthday! :D i am more impressed that rohana managed to remember my birthday 10 mins b4 meeting me the night b4. and even rushed to buy me a slice of cake! teeheehee. she does NOT remember birthdays accurately if at all (like me), so i am majorly touched that she actually remembered.
al in all, a much better birthday than i've had in a fairly long time.
i know its kinda late.
