Went to the first Asian Pop night at Orpheus. It sucked HARD. Mostly anime theme music and shit, very little actual good Jrock being played and full of wannabe ravers and other people I've never seen before. Right crowded it was, but with a bunch of annoying people ( Read more... )

That sucks that you didn't have a good time. You were really looking forward to it.

I'll cross fingers for you that you get to do your cyber/industrial night. The two of you seem to know what your doing, unlike what you experienced saturday night. Maybe el Douche will disappear before then. Does anyone complain about this guy?

Yeah, I was. I was all excited, thinking 'Yay, I get to hear Dir En Grey and VAMPS and D'Espairs Ray and all the other Jrock that I like' ...yeah, no. :/
At least there was Ramune. XD
The sad thing was, this DJ is know for his stuff, with the mix of anime theme music and J- and K- pop and all. Maybe it was just an off night or something, but it felt more like an Otakon rave than anything, which is not necessarily a good thing.

I hope so, too. We're both very excited about the possibillity. The one DJ there is awesome and he'll more than likely take care of actually playing the music if we give it to him, which is good.
I wish el Douche would, pretty much *everyone* complains about the guy. Even the other bartender that works there refuses to work with him. He's an ass and he overcharges for drinks. When he's behind the bar, drinks that should be three bucks are five or six. Problem is, they can't find a replacement bartender right now so they're stuck with him.

WORD. This guy, he is just...I want to punch him in the face every time I see him. It's sad, because the other bartender is this awesome woman who's a great bartender and actually *nice*.

I'm hoping it will be. I've got a half decent collection of industrial, so at least the music should be good (and more varied than normal). There's only so many weeks in a row I can listen to the same set of songs before I snap, y'know?
Ugh, I have to deal with a lot of that shit, too. Saturday nights are my escape from the constant barrage of ganster rap and annoying bad R&B. >.

That's like a bartender at the gay bar >.> She either ignores you and chats away with some guy or she's super bitchy o.o And you had better not be drinking any of her favorites, cause if you're doing it wrong (how there is a right way I have no idea) all hell breaks loose o.o My friend worked for her for a whilem the woman is crazy.

Lol yeah, I went to a bar for my friend's brithday it was all top 40. But what they didn't tell you is I was only top 40 for then next 12 hours. The same 40 songs in different versions. After 6 hours I hid in the trance room to try and recover my sanity/IQ points o.o

Oh, lord. I would have gone completely insane if I had to listen to that. It's bad enough having to hear the same songs more than once a day. I cannot imagine having to hear the same ones over and over for 12 hours. Especially if it was anything from a top 40 list, since a lot of times a good part of that stuff is horrible.
