Well a couple of months ago someone(bubble) contacted me about singing for a band.
Weird enough it was bury your dead from the usa. I did some demo's for the dudes with a song from the new cd. Dw norton a person who i have never met before actually helped me out so much by recording the songs for me. Like i said i never met the guy and i myspaced him seeing how much it would be. He ruled and actually didnt charge me a thing for doing thing shit for me.
So i sent the songs off and didnt hear from anyone for a week so i thought yep i sucked and that was the end of that. I didnt tell many of my friends cause hey. If it didnt work out.. It didnt work out and no one needed to know. Then i got an email and then talked to the guys from the band and i had to make a decision really fast. That same day i had to tell my band that i was leaving the band and the reasons why and i couldn't do the european tour anymore.
This was fucking hard as shit to do. We played the my last shows and those shows were fucking awsome. I was stoked to get to play with my friends bands and what would be my last shows in australia for a while.
I booked my flights to the usa and a week & half after making the decision i was flying to the usa.
So i seriously tried to get as many girls as possible before i left. hahhaahaa
When i got to the usa id be flying for so fucking long and sitting in airports and shit. It was a fucking nightmare.
I flew to jacksonville to practice with bubble and eric and a kid called nujack who filled in on drums cause mark and slim live up north.
The first day i was in jax i shot a m4 assult rifle, a few other guns and a shotgun hahaha.wwas pretty sweeet.
We practiced a bit and even though i thought i sounded like shit. Eric and bubble thought i was doing well. hahaha
Slim and mark came down about a week after i got here. We practiced alot. Im talking 17 songs and that shit is hard when 4 decent sized cunts are starring at u making sure u dont fuck up.
After a week of hanging out with dudes and shit.. They told me i was now in the band.
Before telling me the good news they decided to tell me that i was going home and they wearnt sure if it was working out.. hahaha
Fucking cunts..
So now we are about to go out on this big ass tour.
I really miss my friends back home. But i knew i had to do this.
Its been a year and a half since i got kicked out of prom queen. I never thought this shit would have happend. At that stage i was sure id never sing for a band again and i was actually done with it. Lucky enough byd had enough faith in a stupid australian..
New Singer, New Tour!!!
BURY YOUR DEAD CHOOSES NEW SINGER,
HEADLINES DON'T CALL IT A COMEBACK TOUR
Victory Records metalcore titans Bury Your Dead have found a new singer to lead them on their upcoming six-week headlining tour of America, aptly titled the "Don't Call It A Comeback" Tour. Coming aboard is one of the most popular singers ever to come out of Australia's hardcore scene - Michael Crafter. Previously, Crafter fronted Australian metal band I Killed The Prom Queen, as well as mosh-core group Carpathian. Crafter has also staged his own hardcore and metal fest Down Under, called Prepare To Burn, a.k.a. "Crafterfest."
"After weeks of practice and hanging out, we have decided that Crafter is now our new front man," states drummer Mark Castillo. "He's an amazing dude and put forth a ton of effort to show us he was serious about being apart of BYD. Let the good times roll."
Good times will roll out in full force during BYD's imminent headlining tour, which embarks on April 20 in Rochester, NY, and covers 45 dates before ending June 3 in Chicopee, MA. Joining them on the "Don't Call It A Comeback" Tour will be Suicide Silence, Stick To Your Guns and Since The Flood. Check out the tour banner here
