A summary of my day:
BAD = Power went out at some point during the night. I woke up to discover that my fan wasn't running, and the clocks were not on (not even blinking). I freaked out, thinking I was most likely late for work. (Wasn't, by the way: still had over an hour to go.)
BAD = Fell down the stairs. Yeah. We've got steep steps.
BAD = Car did the sputtering thing worse than ever today.
GOOD = Despite horrible morning, was mostly in a good mood all day. Didn't get any pissy customers.
GOOD = Found out I was employee of the month. A couple people found out throughout the day, and they all said that I definitely deserved it. Everybody who works there knows the whole 'employee of the month' thing is a joke (all ya get is yer picture on the wall, and some random shit gifts), but people seemed to be serious. I know they are - I've been told many times of how much I do. Nice ego-booster, really. I need those once in a while.
GOOD: MIKE GOT A JOB!!! JOB JOB JOB. I TOLD YOU.
Just adding in that it was FUCKING HARD for him to do. Jobs are freaking SCARCE right now. Although it is a bit weird that he knew. He cut his hair and said, "I'll have a job in a couple days." And he was right.
(I'll also add in that for the past year, he always knows when my period is coming. He tells me either the day before or the day of, and I can never tell it's coming. It's on a weird schedule - always has been. He was right again... period started today.)
BAD = Mike's job is a shift of 10pm - 7am. Damn 3rd shift.
GOOD = His new haircut is still REALLY cute. *grin*
