Ok. Week update:
Monday: home because of mom's surgery. Went to store before ice storm. Stupid. Dad at work. Dad at work but is sent home early. My school let out early as did mom's
Tuesday: . Rain all day long. Cold. Power goes out at 11AM on this day. We tough if out at mom's house with no heat because she doesn't need to walk on the ice. COLD COLD COLD.
Wednesday: Mom gets up at 5 AM and announces that we will be going to my house immediately. She is cold. Dad grabs mom and hangs on to her while we trek across to my house. It is warm at my house. Still no power. Mom and I play Yahtzee a lot.
Thursday: NO POWER. I stink. We go to aunts house in Huntsville. She has power off and on. We take our chances. We shower and she makes homemade soup for us. yummy.
Friday: NO POWER. We back at aunts for shower again and we buy her lunch. We go home. We have flashlights, non perishable food and are prepared. 7:00 the power comes on. We all shout in happiness. Mom and dad let their house warm up then dad takes mom back home. It is all quiet but lit up in my house now.
It's been a week of going to bed at 7PM and waking up at 5AM
My friends Saundra, Kerry, and Mandy still do not have power. And my friend Monique is being told they might now have power for two weeks.
PRAY. This area looks like a war zone. I will post pics as soon as I can.
