Characters: Kou Ichinomiya (recruitable) and YOU!
Setting/Location: passing out in District 3
Date & Time: Late morning, Day 0
Warnings: Beware of failhumor.
Summary: Boy meets completely whacked out world. Come shatter his now-fragile hold on his sanity.

By the end of that morning, Kou Ichinomiya had already faced 4 near-debt experiences, reacted like a close-minded speciest upon meeting a giant and was unknown to him, just a few minutes away from being physically dominated by yet another underaged girl... but at least he'd managed to retain ownership of his pants. And wearership of his pants.

(He's aware it's not a word or at least he would be if he was like actually thinking the word and not having it written about him.)

As far as life-altering days went, it at least had that over the day he met Nino.

Although that day he'd met Nino at least had Nino.

But he was trying not to think too much about that with the looming threat of his asthma and the assumed but most probable lack of inhalers in this fairy tale-like place he'd wound up in. In fact, he was trying to not think about a lot of things which was a handy talent if it were in fact a skill and not a defense mechanism developed at age 3 when his father uttered the words "Hurry up and put the pacifier in my mouth." at him.

He was trying not to think about how he might be suffering from a delusion brought on by a terminal disease. He was trying not to think about how he just met giant. He was trying not to think about how he might have hurt that giant's feelings and how unwise it was to inconveniently lose his brain-to-mouth filter while talking to someone who could actually kill him with his thumb. He was trying not to think about how Nino was nowhere to be found. He was trying not to think about how no one he knew from Arakawa was nowhere to be found. He was trying not to think about how Arakawa bridge and river were both nowhere to be found. He trying very hard not to think about how, based on available evidence, he might be the one who was nowhere to be found in any world he could conceivably imagine.

All in all, it was a terribly unwieldy and lengthy list of things that Kou was most determinedly not thinking about and the only reason he could manage to keep all of that in his head without some of his brain matter leaking out was the message he'd read from the man claiming to be working at sending Kou home.

Home. To Arakawa and just whenwherehowwhy he'd begun to think of Arakawa as home was yet another thing to add on the list of cogito erkerk stop! which was easily enough shoved aside considering that there was a more pressing realization that struck Kou hard enough that he was actually physically jolted.

If this giant, this Cid Amon and this witch were going to be sending him home... how the hell was he going to pay them back?

By the end of the morning, Kou Ichinomiya was face-down in the middle of the third district, gasping pitifully for air and only ending up with a mouthful of Willaknapp soil.

Ah, country living.
