The caravan's hallways were far emptier than Serah had ever remembered it being. There was a certain silence to it that she wasn't accustomed to, a sort of expanding void that would likely only continue to keep growing so long as people kept disappearing. So many people were missing, and the fact that they had vanished so mysteriously bothered Serah more than she'd ever care to verbalize. She didn't want to worry anyone, but she couldn't help but worry herself, though she tried very hard not to dwell on it.

It didn't Serah long to locate the room Yoite was in. Serah had spent much of her spare time wandering around the Caravan's corridors, exploring the empty rooms and towers. This time, Serah merely followed the music, picking up the familiar, almost melancholy tones as she wound her way through the halls until she finally found the room he was in. She peered in carefully, blinking in surprise-was that a dress?-before entering ( ... )

Don't get him wrong, Yoite was no cross dresser, or into anything strange, it was a simple matter of not being able to find any other clothes once he realized his own were wet through. That and the room he was last in possibly belonged to a female.

There was no show on his face that he knew Serah was coming along the hall, no hint of footsteps in his ears and his eyes were pretty useless at far range all the same, so it wasn't until the girl spoke up that Yoite realized she was there.

"I hope you didn't have to walk for far?" His hands stopped playing as he pulled the sleeves back over to hide them, he was for once, ashamed of hos black and decrepit they were starting to look, he didn't want to scare her with his black veins and blue flesh after all.

"Oh no, not at all," Serah replied, shaking her head as she rested one of her small hands on the edge of the piano, careful to keep a comfortable distance between them, since he seemed to be a bit nervous. She didn't want to make it worse. "What song were you playing? Does it have a name?"

"No, it has no name ... I just ... Yoite just played what felt right."

Flirting his finger over the ebony keys, pressing in a little and letting the sound ring out softly. Yoite frowned a little and tugged at the dress. "I can feel you looking at me ... I ...I didn't have anything else to wear, you wont laugh at Yoite will you?" Blinking and looking in Serah's direction.

"Laugh at you?" Serah echoed, her eyes widening. "Why would-" she paused. "Oh, you mean the dress?" She shook her head, eyes softening as she allowed more of her weight to rest against the side of the piano. "No, of course not. It doesn't matter to me what you wear, but I had no idea you didn't have anything else to wear. ...Does it have to do with the flood, or do you not have any other clothes?"

Because if it was the latter, Serah intended to change that, even if she had to sew him some clothes herself. Serah was sure there had to be some spares in the Caravan somewhere, too, remembering what Yoite had sad about his eyes sometime earlier. Had he not been able to see what he had been putting on?

"Mhm." Yoite tugged at the ends of the dress and frowned a little. " I couldn't find any clothes of mine that were dry, Yukimim used to always fuss about me being warm and Gau would have had a fit if he'd seen me walking around in wet things. It looks silly doesn't it?" Such an odd boy, gentle spoken yet with a danger and sadness in his eyes. She was a sweet girl, telling him it didn't matter, Yoite gave a half smile to that, it relaxed him some to know she wasn't judging him.

"Though ... I think mine are ruined for good, I can't seem to find my coat and Gau's clotes will be too small for me." Hugging himself a little, he really was thin, beyond thin really. Yoite would have asked his room mate for a loan of clothes, but he'd not even spoken to him yet, he'd only hidden from him and watched how he acted.

Serah shook her head. "Not silly, just... different, that's all. I've seen guys wear much stranger things back home. It's a tourist town, you know, by the beach. It always has a lot of people coming and going, and everyone has their own idea of what's fashion and what's not. So..." she gave a light laugh and shook her head again. "Well, I guess what I'm trying to say is that it doesn't bother me ( ... )
