Gau ...
It's a horrible thing to think of at such a time, when someone is suffering, but now Gau is being able to experience what exactly Yoite feels like for a fraction of the day. Most of the time he's worse than this and its actually on his good days that Yoite feels as bad as Gau is right about now.
The scarf is a nice though, but its clear that Gau needs it more than Yoite, Yoite is used to his illness and how it makes him feel, but Gau is, well Gau is a healthy boy other than being a little on the weak and helpless side. So he really should keep it for himself for now.
Its just typical Gau, isn't it? To be worried about everyone else other than himself? Yoite would have to talk Gau into bed rest for a while, maybe get his room mate to keep a close eye on him for Yoite so that he doesn't worry.
There is no Sakura, Yoite would have loved to have seen her right about now, she'd have her heal Gau back to his loud and bossy self, that's for sure.
The though that was passing through Gau's head, had often passed through Yoite's 'Can people come back that have gone home? ' though right now it was far from his thought, right now he was more worried about Gau.
"You sound ill...." turning his head and looking over Gau with worry clear in his expression. Leaving the piano as he walked over towards Gau. He must have looked like some kind of ghost as his dress trailed and flailed behind him slowly. Kneeling down to test how hot Gau's head was with the back od a decrepit hand.

"...Yoite-kun?" He hissed, muffled--Yoi-fake-uhn? He drew back, hitting his shoulder heavily against the wall, dragging along, and pushing teh scarf up against his mouth to hide how pale he suddenly was under the fever.
What the HELL was he doing in a DRESS?!

Frowning as Gau pulled away and bumped into the wall. Really, was he that startled to see Yoite. Oh, yea . . . the dress? Yoite had actually forgotten he was wearing it, it was after all rather comfortable and loose around the legs.
"What's wrong? You feel clammy ... its the water isn't it?" Yoite placed his hands on Gau's hips, leaning down and hugging him around the middle so that he could listen to Gau's breathing, for that tell tail crackle in the lungs as they flood with fluid, after all, Yoite knew that sound all to well.

Gau just stood there rather limply, managing to find the energy to let his head drop to look right at the hat staring him square in the face, but not much else. "Of course it's the water." Gau snapped back irritably. "Didn't it affect you?"
Oh. Right. Yoite probably felt like this all the time and couldn't tell the difference.
Ha.
Brilliant.
Worrying about Yoite was a waste of time like usual. He'd cough up what you'd be sure were two pints of blood on the sidewalk, and you'd think eh was dying, then he'd turn around and wander off after Miharu. (Gau missed the ironic hypocrisies of this thought rather spectacularly.)
Gau shivered, burying his face a little deeper into the scarf around his face. "Have you seen...my roommate? Big American guy...? Looking for pizza, probably... Or Wayne-kun?" He mumbled.

"No. I stayed away from as much of it as I could. Yukimi would have made me stay away from the water." His voice was drone as he wrapped Gau's scarf more so around his face and neck, forcing him to sit as he walked over towards where he had kept a small bag. " Hot lemonade, that will make you feel better. I can make you some."
As he turned away to walk over to that bag at the other side of the piano, his dress flared up some in an elegant swirl, he truly did look effeminate from the back. "I've not seen anyone ...." It was hard to see Gau let alone other people, what with how bad his eyes had grown.

"Don't bother making stuff for me, anyway. You can't even taste it, so how would you know if it's a good recipe or not? Especially coming from Yukimi-san. That man's kitchen..." Gau gave a little shudder remembering the stack of pans and pots in the sink, the disgusting state of the coffee filter, and that lingering bowl of something or other left in the microwave, the stack of pans stored in the oven...
If cleanliness was next to Godliness, Yukimi was possibly Lucifer himself, but...in hindsight, Yoite was probably right to miss him. For such an irresponsible-seeming guy, he'd probably taken quite good care of him all things considered, and Gau was really starting to have to acknowledge that with just the two of them stuck together.
Mm, but far be it from Gau to point out that another guy looked like a girl from the back. Definitely not his place, he noted warily. And besides, it probably made sense to Yoite in some way that only obscenely smart people understood. Gau knew quite well that he didn't belong in that category by a long shot.
"I'd better go find them before something stupid happens..." He muttered, turning, and pulling himself up, fumbling the gloves back at Yoite. He couldn't use those, and his fingers swam in the leather...

The order was firm and it came with that finger pointed straight at Gau's forehead, the tip twitched as it came into contact with the boys clammy feverish flesh. He was right, how would Yoite be able to make something that was suppose to be just the right mix of sweet and bitter?
Yoite pressed his other hand to the wall behind Gau, trapping him there and letting the gloves fall to the floor. "Sit down Gau..." he wouldn't warn him again, he needed to be sitting himself if he was going to do what he was planning so having Gau at the same level would be worth it.

He hesitated. "I know...you're trying to help. And that...uhm...means a lot, but I can't just sit down and rest at a time like this!"
He managed to fumble his fingers around Yoite's sleeve, eyes a little disfocused. He rubbed them with a sigh. "come on..." He muttered muffledly into the scarf. "If we...lean on each other sometimes...we should be fine. I have to...find my roommate...and...Anathema-san...and...Wayne-kun..." His voice trailed off, and he tightened his grip on Yoite's sleeve to keep himself upright, putting a hand to his dizzied head.

He might have been maybe a little too hard and he might have been acting a little stupid. But seeing Gau as weak as what he was at times, knowing Gau had no real ninja art to help him fight as well as Yoit did, why it broke his heart. The boy clearly needed to look after others here on the caravan, and how could he do that when he was having to cling off of a dying boy to keep himself up?
No. Yoite had made his mind up, Gau's words about how his trying to help meant something to him made that poor old withered heart flutter. Yoite shook his head. Over powering Gau so that the tow of them tumbled to the floor. Yoite quickly shuffled and straddled Gau as best as he could to keep the small boy from wriggling too much more than anything else. He know Gau wouldn't be able to over power him, but he also knew it would be painful to sit on him for too long with a lung full of fluid like Gau had.
" I ... I'm sorry Otouto-kun ... forgive me?" He uttered slowly aiming his finger back at Gau. His deep and misted sapphire eyes started to close slightly, then suddenly, in perfect sync, his eyes widened for a moment, finger tip twitching and the ever present sound of a deafening heart beat was sounded out.
Yoite did it ... he shot a blast of his own life into Gau with Iga's forbidden art of Kira. He didn't want to hurt Gau with it, no, instead he'd transferred just enough of his own life into his dear friend, just as he had back in their own world. The technique took it out of him and so Yoite collapsed like a rag doll, there ontop of Gau. He was still alive, still had enough life left to get himself around there on the caravan, but at the present it was enough strength used to knock him out for the count.
Limp and still, laying there over Gau.
