There was a knocking at the door and the conman wondered if it was his room mate. No, Arthur would have just come in. Someone to see the other man? Murdock? He wasn't expecting anyone himself, but that didn't mean he didn't have a visitor.

Face moved to the door and cautiously poked his head out. A grin appeared as he beheld who it was. "Well, this is a pleasant surprise." He opened the door wider and leaned on the door frame, looking Bonnie over. "Looks like you made it out of that maze you were in."

"Here I am!" Bonnie responded cheerfully, spinning around to show herself off. "Clothed and everything. I hope you don't mind that I just stopped by like this, do you? I probably should have written or something first but I just figured that there's no time like the present, right?"

She paused then, laughing a delighted little laugh. "I'm talking too much again, I always do that. Anyway, were you doing something or do you want to talk or should I just come back later?" He really was very handsome, wasn't he? And he smelled so nice.

Bonnie was certain he would taste nummy.

"Oh, I'm not doing anything important." Face stepped aside to invite the woman into his room. "I'd love the company. I was just doing a few things around the room. Come in, come in..."

He hadn't just said it-- it was a pleasant surprise to see Bonnie. He'd been bemoaning his fate again and sulking about his current lot in life. Having someone like Bonnie to "talk" to would help to change his mind, he was certain. Or, at the very least, keep him busy for awhile.

"I'd offer you a drink but I don't have anything. How about a massage instead? I'm sure you must awfully tense after everything the past couple of days..."

Bonnie slipped by Face, perhaps brushing up somewhat closer to him than was strictly necessary--but then again, he was the one that was offering to give her a massage, wasn't he?

"It was very, very stressful to be transported into a maze and have to fight a giant evil spider," Bonnie agreed, glancing around the room. It looked a lot like her own, really. "I'm a little surprised that there's not another girl waving to me from your bed," she teased, turning to face him and folding her arms behind her back. "You must have known I was coming."

Face put on a mock expression of pain and groaned, though it was clear his actions were not sincere. "You wound me, Bonnie. Surely you don't take me for that sort of a guy." He crossed behind her and put his hands on her shoulders, caressing them slightly before leaning in to add in a low voice. "I assure you there hasn't been another girl in my bed."

Here, anyhow. But no one was asking for specifics. "You should know you're the only one on my mind." Right at this very moment. "I don't know how I can prove that to you."

Bonnie laughed, rolling her shoulders back into his hands. "You don't have to try," she gaily proclaimed, sweeping her masses of red curls over the front of her shoulder. "I just met you. You're welcome to bed whomever you want to." It wasn't as if Damon--well, that had been a different situation altogether, hadn't it?

"I'm going on a date with your roommate soon," she added casually. Might as well bring it up now, he'd find out sooner or later although--"I don't think he really wanted to go, though."

She clearly found this to be funny.

The conman hesitated for a moment in his action; the comment had caught him unexpectedly. "Who, Arthur?"

Why would she...? He continued to massage her, feigning as if he found that comment as offhanded as she had meant it. "Huh. Who would have guessed it? I guess you must have made quite the impression on him in the showers." It made sense. Arthur had brought the woman up the day before. The interest was there, Face supposed. It wasn't as if he heard Arthur talking about any other women. Still, where did that leave him with Bonnie for the moment? Surely Face couldn't...

"The showers?" Bonnie repeated, sounding confused for a moment. "What do you--"

And then she laughed.

"Oh!" She turned around to face Face, smiling up at him. "Oh, no. I practically had to force him into it. I just thought he should stop being so grumpy all the time and have some fun." Bonnie reached up to loop her arms around Face's neck, tilting her head and offering her sweetest smile to him. "You don't mind, do you? It doesn't mean that you and I still can't have fun."

On the word fun, she pushed herself up closer to his chest.

"Ah." Face could feel his smile growing. "Well, if you put it that way,..." He turned this companion so that they were looking at each other and brushed her curls aside with one hand. He didn't waste much time taking in her features; he moved straight into a kiss, navigating Bonnie towards the bottom bunk and into a sitting position.

Now this was doing a fine job of distracting him from his present situation. He could get used to his new home with distractions like this.

When he kissed her, Bonnie enthusiastically responded. And when he lowered her onto the bottom bunk, she sat. But even as they kissed, she was distracted by several matters, the first of which was to make sure that her fangs didn't extend. Arousal tended to bring that on and she didn't think Face would appreciate it if she accidentally stuck her tooth through his lip.

It was nice, though, to be kissed. To have attention paid to her like this. But if Bonnie didn't stop him, she was pretty sure this kissing would lead to other places pretty quickly and then the fangs definitely would come out. Besides, it was a first date, and it wasn't even really that.

So she slowly pulled away, taking a deep breath for the sake of appearances, and rubbed her hand against his thigh. "I may be remembering this wrong," she said with a lazy smile, "But didn't you promise to take me to dinner?" She trailed her palm up his leg--high enough to hopefully keep his attention, low enough to keep from third base.

This was a situation of mixed signals if ever there was one. On one hand, she was asking him to stop, but at the same time she was tempting him with her hand? Women were strange and wonderful creatures.

Face tried to focus more on what she was saying than what she was doing, although it was teasing his mind something fierce. "Dinner? Of course. If you want dinner, we can go to dinner. I hope you don't mind, but I don't think there are too many choices about what we can have. But hey, I can make you a grilled cheese if you'd like."

He glanced back at the hand on his thigh and leaned in slightly, ready for another kiss should the opportunity present itself. "Or maybe we could wait until we've worked up a bit more of an appetite..."

Bonnie leaned in and pressed a series of kisses along his jaw--it was a very nice jaw, she had to admit. All of him was nice, and it had been a long time since a blond man had interested her--though that may have been a bit of an emotional rebellion, now that she thought about it.

"Well," she murmured against his skin, "I'm not all that hungry." Well, that was a lie, but she wasn't hungry for grilled cheese. "I could stay in here, but," she pulled away to look at him. "I want to talk first." What came after the talking, she'd let him wonder. "Tell me about you. Where do you come from? What year? How old are you? What do you do? Any family? Kids? A girlfriend? Ever been married? What are your hobbies? Do you believe in magic or God or life after love?" She returned her attention back to his jaw, nuzzling her nose against his cheek.

"Talk?" Face sighed inwardly. At this rate, he wasn't ever going to move beyond the kissing, was he? Oh well, Bonnie was a nice girl and she deserved an answer to some of her questions. It was only fair if he was expecting her to give into his charm. Still, what sort of answers should he give?

"That's a lot to talk about," He finally responded, holding her in an embrace. "Maybe we should do it one question at a time."

He was disappointed. It didn't take a genius to figure that out, and Bonnie certainly didn't pretend to be a genius. Still, at least he wasn't saying that he hated gingers and threatening to serve up a pan of disgust or anything.

"Tell you what," she decided. "For every satisfactory answer you give, I'll take off an article of clothing." She did mental math as she spoke. Two shoes, two stockings, a sash, blouse, skirt, and her slip, plus the unmentionables. Ten items. That would buy her some time, right?

"First of all, where do you come from? For example, I'm from a town in Virginia called Fell's Church. I left there in May of 1993, and I ended up getting sucked into some world named Rowan. I was there for about a year before I came here." She tilted her head, watching him expectantly.

Well, there didn't seem much harm in answering this one honestly. 1993? Surely there was some mistake. It was May, he knew, but the year was a bit off.

"Los Angeles, May, 1986," Face said. He looked at Bonnie expectantly. "Good enough?"

"Well, that explains the outfit," Bonnie declared and she leaned down to take off one of her slippers. "Don't get me wrong, though. I think the 80s were great. Duran Duran and The Breakfast Club and Andrew McCarthy and everything." Andrew was totally yummo, she wished he hadn't been a trend that had died out in the 90s.

She tossed the slipper aside before continuing. "All right, what did you do? I was just beginning college, for example. I was going to be a nurse. Or maybe a theatre major. And sometimes I thought about abandoning all that to just be a psychic."
