Date & Time: Day 11, early morning

Summary: Prior to finding the robot, Lina finds the chimera
If asked, Zelgadis wouldn't deny how much he appreciated the distraction from all of the dullness that seemed to define the caravan journey. His sword hand had been itching for action and the animal attack had delivered. It had been all too brief, though...But then, he ought to have been used to disappointment by now, oughtn't he? Such is life.
With the wheels turning yet again, there was little chance of having an encore, opening up Zelgadis' day wide open for...whatever. What was there to do? Accommodating as the caravan was, it was certainly lacking in things to do outside of eat and sleep. Both fine things in their own time, but there was too much daylight for simply that. And, dammit, the weapons getting confiscated put a dent in training. With that out, there was practically nothing Zelgadis liked to do available to pass the hours.
Fortunately, he found ink and paper.
With enough sun breaking over the faraway horizon, he had begun his climb with his found treasures tucked under an arm; he was still baffled that such a structure could maintain someone with his body weight--even moreso by the fact that the higher he went, gravity was still so lax. Another property of an alternate world, perhaps. He decided not to dwell on it right then and there.
It was hard to keep the papers smoothed with the lumbering motion of Grandore and the breeze gusting now and then, but he endured nonetheless. Hell, it was either that, or nothing to do at all. He could suffer the annoyances.
He lifted his head up once again and squinted, trying to follow the trail of a river and mark it on the page. Mapping was a lot easier standing still, but...
