Simmons wasn't any better off when he woke up.

"Shit. Grif, I swear to god, if this is because you touched those damn things..." He'd told him not to but when had Grif ever listened to him? When had anyone listened to him? For all he knew, they'd been thrown to another planet somehow. Given everything else that had happened, he wouldn't have been surprised.

He got up and looked around, wondering just where the hell he'd landed and not recognizing any of the terrain. In fact, he couldn't remember the last time he'd seen this many trees.

"Sarge, can you hear me, Sir?" He tried into his comm, only to find it unresponsive. Just great. "Sir? This is Simmons, can anyone hear me?" Nada. "Great. Peachy. Our comms are broken more often than they work around here!" He complained, tapping the side of his helmet even while he knew it really wouldn't help.

Comm problem obviously unsolvable, Simmons ignored the secured the rocket launcher on his back and grabbed his assault rifle instead. Being caught off-guard with crazy people like Washington running around really wouldn't end well. Hopefully this was all some elaborate prank- though he'd beat the crap out of Grif if it was.

Whether or not it was actually his fault. "Is anyone out there?" He called out to the woods instead, obviously forgetting that in this case being quiet might have been a better option. Answer or no, he started forward. Maybe if he started to get a better look around he'd see something more familiar than trees.

If anyone unsavory was nearby, Donut would have made an easy target to pick off right about then. Still pacing around, he nearly tripped over that damn tree root for the fifth time before he finally decided to try and calm down. He stopped in his tracks, letting his hands drop to his sides.

"Okay, Frankie, you gotta calm down. Deeeeep breaths. In and out," Talking to himself often helped him calm down, especially when he was alone. He just didn't like panicking when there was no one else there to share his anxiety with, so he figured there was no point in passing out again. After a few deep inhales, Donut looked around again.

Nothing but trees, trees and more trees. He clicked his tongue, letting his gaze drop to the ground. There were his weapons... and a weird ... something. Crouching down to scoop up his guns and grenades--thank God they didn't go off while he was passed out!--and securing them, Donut picked up the other ..thing. Giving it a look-over, it appeared to be a mini computer of some sort. Didn't look that advanced, but Donut wasn't exactly an expert on electronics.

"Oh, man. I wish Simmons or Lopez were here. They'd probably be able to rig this thingy into a radio!!" Donut tapped the screen a few times, nearly screaming when it lit up and turned on. "Holy--!! Don't do that!" He yelled into his hand, as if the little device could respond. Really, someone needed to remind him of his military training. Screaming in an unknown area wasn't exactly smart.
