Well, it wasn't like he was used to... well, this. Or maybe he was. If you thought about it, sometimes he woke up confused, and other times he woke up dazed and confused, and then there were the times where he woke up dazed, confused and with no clue how he'd ended up... wherever.

This was one of those times, but if he was going to wake up dazed and confused, then it was pretty good luck that he'd managed to get Elika into the mix. He wasn't sure why she was there, but he could ask about that later.

Or now. Now was good. Now was great, even. He grinned at her.

"Hiya."

She made another small choked noise, a hand flying to her mouth. She scooted away, trying to put some distance between their bodies why were they so close, and the rapid movement only served to make her headache worse.

"I--what? How am I--how are we--what's going on?"

Language: 1, Elika: 0.

He wasn't too bothered by this. Another day he might have been a little sour she had freaked out so quickly, but that would have meant waking up somewhere familiar.

"Whoa, whoa -- calm down, Princess." It didn't look like she knew any more than he did, either. That was all right; he could work with this. "We've still got our clothes on. All of them, even, so you can relax.

"And I'm going to have to pass on answering that, because I don't know either."

Elika breathed in, once, slowly; it didn't make her headache go away any faster, but it certainly helped the way her heart felt like it was going to hammer through her ribcage.

"I'm not dead. I'm supposed to be dead," she breathed, looking up at him with wide, wondering eyes. Gingerly, she tried to sit up, which only made her clutch her head as the pain sharply intensified. So she just let herself fall back against the mattress, tilting her head to hide her eyes against his shoulder.
