There were no answers in Steamdrab for Zelgadis; it made little sense to scrape around in the scrap any longer. Lina hadn't yet made her boisterous entrance just yet-- something becoming long overdue by his thinking. Then again, Gourry was missing...She had other things on her plate. His searching was always for himself, anyway. Inconvenience as it was to be in an unknown world, it sparked hope.

Maybe he'd find the cure for his body at last.

Possible, but perhaps not so much in that dead town. Zelgadis wasn't easily creeped out, but creeps were the only thing he got out of wandering those unused roads. With little desire to coop himself back up in the caravan, he had few options present. The forest, though foreign, still had a familiarity and a comfort to them. It was something he could navigate, more or less; Grandore was large enough to spot from miles away, so getting too lost would be quite a task ( ... )

"Who are you?" she asked herself as her fingers ran up slowly the curve of her own cheeks. She could not even recognize her own face and features lost. She had been staring so intently her own reflection that she failed to hear Zelgadis's footsteps through the break in the trees.

When she did finally realize she wasn't alone, she spun around to find Zelgadis standing on the edge with his hand on his sword. Her eyes which had been narrowed went wide as she froze on her knees.

Was this friend or foe? She did not recall seeing Zelgadis before on the Caravan, but she met only a small handful of others since her arrival. There was no way for the Unicorn to be sure. So she stayed as still as an animal would when caught by a hunter.

Initially, Zelgadis believed the question directed at him. His head lowered to allow his hood to shadow his face-- the knee-jerk reaction to being noticed. Seconds ticked as he waited for some kind of exclamation to follow, but...nothing came. Wasn't she talking to him-?

Just as he intended to relax and back away, she did notice him, and quite suddenly. Zelgadis' hand flew from the sword to his face, drawing up the cloth mask at his neck. All to be seen of his face was a wide, confused eye. Ears strained for the sounds of a spell or...some kind of offense, but all she did was stare at him staring back at her.

Enough time passed for it to become just plain uncomfortable, and Zelgadis felt no other choice but than to take some initiative. He cleared his throat, calling out a bit loudly to compensate for the mask.

"Who are you?"

The Unicorn's shoulders relaxed slightly as the Zelgadis' hand went from his sword to face. A lifetime of of living in solitude had thought her to not trust so easily. Silently she watched Zelgadis with unblinking purple eyes as he stood there in an attempt to hide his face. Though she did not understand why, from what she could see he seemed like any other man.

When he spoke, the Unicorn turned her head slightly to listen. There seemed to be no ulterior motives hidden in the tone of his voice, but that didn't mean she was going to answer. Instead, she continued to stare forward with her unblinking gaze for another minute before she motioned to him and spoke.

"Why do you hide your face?"

The woman had been lost in her own thoughts, that she did not hear Lute make his way out of the tree line and into the small clearing before the stream. His voice caused her to turn her head sharply over one shoulder and stare cautiously. The man before her was unfamiliar, but that meant little when everything and everyone was unknown.

"Hello," she returned the greeting quietly as she tried to recall if she had seen his face somewhere inside the caravan.

The women remained quiet for the most part, but as Lute continued to talk in a friendly manner her posture relaxed. He seemed friendly enough, she assumed out for a walk. She couldn't be the only one in the Caravan who needed a break from their temporary life.

"I am. It is. This place reminds me of my own home." She said as she looked back towards the water. She had been sitting here for some time, the sun had already begun to move down in the sky. It would be time to go soon, but not yet.
