Summary: Time for an awkward shower.
Finn had never been a huge fan of the showers in gym class. Which was to say that he, unlike guys like Puck, didn't get a kick out of parading around in a towel (or in some cases, less) around his guy friends. It was traits like this that made Finn always wonder whether Puck's bullying of Kurt hadn't been a little hypocritical.
At least in the showers at school he knew for sure he was only going to encounter other guys. Outside of Kurt and possibly some of the other guys (no way to know for sure), there was nobody in there who was terribly concerned with things like size or shape or amount of hair because none of them were considering touching his dongle the way a girl might. But these showers might, in fact, contain girls.
Part of Finn was excited and giggly over this fact. The other parts were mostly terrified. It was for this reason that he'd gotten up especially early for his shower that morning and tiptoed the entire way there, towel and soap clutched in his anxiously shaking hands. No one seemed to be up, so maybe if he was lucky--
Score! Empty shower!
Doing a (poorly choreographed and executed) victory dance, Finn began undressing and stepped into the shower. He was only momentarily upset by the frigid temperature of the water before he managed to adjust it to something much warmer and much more relaxing. Sighing happily, he began humming "I Want to Know What Love Is" under his breath, bouncing on the balls of his feet.
