Cassandra gave a courteous nod to each of the boys. It seemed that the smaller one, the one that could have been Ianto's nephew, was the alpha of the two. His accent was different from Ianto's, so she supposed they probably weren't connected after all. As for the large one, she couldn't say. Perhaps some sort of body guard for the smaller one, judging by the way that he was handled. Of course, anyone that Ianto deemed worthy of protecting, Cassandra would consider an ally, but she was still quite curious. That, however, would have to wait.

On Ianto's cue, Cassandra began to walk, slowly, hoping to stay in stride with him, just in front of the boys. "From what I've gathered so far, everyone in my cell either came from a different world or a different time within the same world. I thought perhaps the Gate was responsible but..." She paused. Once again, she had to remind herself who she was dealing with. "The Gate is a portal between worlds. It was responsible for pulling you and me and...other people, into Rowan about a year ago, according to my timeline." She shook her head. "But I don't think it was responsible for whatever happened to us here."

She turned to glance over her shoulder, a few stray curls falling across her face. She addressed Kurt, the one in charge, apparently. "What world do you come from? And if you have linear time there, what year?"
