"Please, call me Diana. It is a pleasure to meet all of you. I am glad that of those we have gathered here, that it is such a fine group of young heroes," she said honestly, offering her hand to shake to each of their hands (though perhaps only a finger for Cassie).

Though they were all intimidated, Diana felt at ease. Well, as at ease as she could be in a strange new world. It was slightly better than fighting with Beowulf, though.

"But I am surprised that I know of so few of you. I have heard mention of you, Jaime, and I have met many Batgirls in my time in the world beyong Themyscira. I have a guess to who you may be, but Batman has likely taught you well not to share it. So I extend my greetings to your familiar faces, but I am glad to see so many other promising heroes. I assume that the rest of you are indeed from another world, consider how...Hercules was mentioned."

Hercules allying with anyone was still such an odd thought. He was the mortal enemy of the Amazons, more even than the hellish bees. That Hercules had raped her mother and stolen her girdle. In some respect, he was not forgiven for his crimes, but he had to be. She was glad that at least in another world, he was perhaps a hero instead of a foe.

After a beat, she added, "So this place has had its effects on you as well, Speed. I have found some of my abilities diminished or absent completely. It is not unusual, but it is definitely a fact to be concerned about. Do you all have similar problems? My associate, Nemesis, also mentioned that most of his technology was not working, so I assume the same holds for you."

Billy felt vaguely compelled to raise his hand before replying. "Uhm, yeah. Normally I can do magic and fly and summon lightning and stuff? But, uh, now not so much. And ... I -- I mean, let's be honest here, I'm not really sure how much of a ... promising hero that makes me --" He paused, glancing nervously at the others, "-- Not that, I mean, not that you can't be a super hero without powers, because, you know, duh, loads of people are, but that's -- that's not me. I'm the Squishy Wizard. I don't really ..." He rubbed the back of his neck, embarrassed. "That's kinda all I've got. Had."

As she shook Diana's finger, Cassie found she wasn't incredibly intimidated. Maybe all of those breakfasts with Hercules had gotten her adjusted to being around someone who had just stepped straight out of legend. It certainly helped with understanding her style of speech. She nodded along with Billy's reply, concealing a brief grin at the thought of what Kate would say if she'd been here to catch his slip. Maybe it was the fairy-tale style of the whole scene, but she found herself enjoying it more than worrying.

"But it's not just powers that we've got going for us," she added excitedly, picking up from where Billy had trailed off, "All of us have done this stuff before, right? We've got the experience, and we already know we can work as a team." She paused to slide down Billy's shoulder enough that she could settle in a fold of his cape instead of balancing next to his ear, "I could probably still fight, too. Um, as long as there are any threats small enough, anyway."

"Yeah, my armor is having problems too. I mean, it works, but it's like, way underpowered. I don't think any of my big guns are working, but that bothers Khaji Da more than me. But more importantly, no flight or super-strength. And I don't even want to try getting into the Bleed..." Jaime shrugged.

"But I agree with Cassie. We can handle this. We're still heroes, right? We still help people. It's our job."

After scouting the edge of the forest for a little while Damian had finally decided to grace the superhero gathering Stephanie had mentioned with his presence. His feelings on the matter were more like his father's and although he wasn't exactly dragging his feet like most children would, there was definitely some reluctance as he made his way through the streets. Damian was not a team-player and he wasn't raised to be.

Rooftops in Gotham are good for moving fast and stealthy, the ones here... not so much. So at some point Damian just dropped down and moved around in the shadows of the streets, managing - for the most part - to blend in seamlessly despite the bright colors of his costume.

Finding the superheroes wasn't a hard task at all, the capes and costumes tend to stick out and a small crowd of them even more so. Damian stuck to the shadows a little while longer, listening in and assessing, before simply stepping out of the alley he was in to announce his presence. Stephanie received a look, Diana a small respectful nod and the rest of the group an unimpressed, critical stare before he glanced back to Stephanie with a raised eyebrow. "This riffraff are the supposed superheroes you were talking about?"

He really wasn't impressed, especially not what with all the whining about lost powers.

Jaime kind of stared at Damian as he rather rudely interjected into the conversation. Wow.

"So, uh, who shrunk Tim? And who turned him into a jerk?" Jaime looked back at the rest of the group, continuing.

"Anyway, even if we don't have our powers up to scratch we can still help people. It's our job to help people, no matter what. People without powers help out every day. There's no reason we have to stop even if we're weaker than normal. Am I right?" He grinned at everybody in the small group.

"Way to make a first impression, Robin," Steph sighed as she facepalmed. She guessed that she should be thankful that he wasn't trying to stab anyone. Yet. And she felt maybe just a little bit glad that his wrath wasn't directed at her for a change. "The little troll is always like this," she explained to the others. "Just try to keep anything sharp out of reach. Trust me."

"Even without powers, you guys know how to fight, right? And if you don't, maybe us unpowered people could teach some hand-to-hand stuff." She gave Damian a brief glance, imagining that his training probably consisted of scary ninja techniques and the essentials of switchblade fighting. "Er. I can, at least. And I bet WW knows how to use every weapon, like, ever."

Billy was ready to get defensive for all of about five seconds - sure, they might not be seriously big name heroes or anything, but come on, this kid couldn't be more than, like, ten or something - before he realized that they probably did pretty much look like riffraff.

Or, well, he did, anyway. Geez, why was he even bothering to wear the cape? Jaime and Steph's reactions to the kid - Robin? - were a little reassuring, and in other circumstances he would probably have thrown some derisive sarcasm of his own in for good measure, but ...

The others probably had a point - looking at Wonder Woman, Billy really didn't doubt Steph's assertion for a moment - but, let's face it, the majority of superheroes were a little more hand-to-hand, whatever their powers, than he was. He sighed. "I know how to duck."

"Thank you for joining us, Robin," Diana said, addressing the newest member of their odd party first. Inwardly, she was amused to see that she was right in her feeling that this Robin was particularly like Bruce. She could easily imagine a younger Bruce acting the same way.

But with that out of the way, she addressed the group once more. "I am indeed trained to use all weapons, though I am more skilled with those with ancient origins. I can use modern weapons, but I choose not to. Hand-to-hand combat is not a problem at all either, though I will have to account for the loss of strength with practice."

Guns against the Amazon code of honor at a fundamental level. Guns, who could so easily kill an enemy in such a dishonorable way, would be absolutely odd to use. She had used them in emergencies, or when there was no other option, but they were too easily fatal. She purposely avoided them for that reason.

"I luckily still have use of my lasso, so that may be useful in the future," she paused before adding on to explain, "--The lasso holds the fire of Hestia. Anyone held by it is compelled to tell the absolute truth."

"Mom!" Not gonna get all misty in front of the other heroes, not gonna get all misty in front of the other heroes. He wrapped Bianca in a return hug, squeezing her tightly before she pulled away.

"I'm fine, I'm fine. I just woke up here, same as everyone else. I don't really get it either..." He scratched his head, shrugging.

"I mean, Khaji Da isn't...like, working properly. Some of his systems are being dampened and the armor doesn't work right. And I have no idea why. Ugh, it's so frustrating." He rubbed at the bridge of his nose for a moment before he blinked.

"Oh. Uh. These are the other heroes who ended up here...not all of them are from our world, though." He waved towards the rest of the group. "Wonder Woman and Batgirl and Robin you know. Sort of. I think." He's not giving up Stephanie's name to his mom. Yet. It's one thing if she wants to tell him, another to tell a civilian. "And then there's Cassie, Speed, Teddy and Billy. We were just talking about what we're gonna do here."

Cassie opened her mouth to agree, and promptly snapped it shut again in surprise as a nurse who looked uncannily like Jaime barrelled into the group and seized him in a hug.

Which was admittedly a little weird, and entirely unexpected, but made more sense a second later when he called her 'mom'. She waved when her name was mentioned, after shooting the three boys a Look.

"Hi, Mrs. Reyes."

Teddy had spent a good while simply listening to the conversation, shaking hands and generally being quite quiet. This was mostly because he was trying to focus on changing himself, at least a little bit, and see just what the extent of the limitations on his powers was. So far his hand had successfully turned a more olive tone, but that was just about it and he was having an interesting time turning it back. That said, he finally decided it would be a good time to simply focus back in on the conversation and stop fiddling with his clearly wonky powers - and at this point, Jaime's mother had joined the group. Teddy vaguely wondered if this day was going to get any stranger or full of odd (though hopefully not on unpleasant, on Jaime's part at least) surprises.

"You too, Mrs. Reyes," Teddy added, raising a hand in a small wave.

"Oh. Uh. Hi."

... That was Jaime's mom? Billy stared at her for a moment as that sunk in, sort of temporarily paralyzed by fear -- if Mrs. Reyes was here, that meant anybody's mother could feasibly show up at any time, and anybody's mother included his mother.

This was quickly becoming less and less of an exciting adventure with every passing second.

With Mrs. Reyes' arrival, Diana stepped forward to shake her hand. Another adult was welcome, though she did not mind being the only one. If anything, Diana was glad that one of these children had a parent to look to here.

"Hello, Mrs. Reyes. Please, call me Diana," she said. It wasn't because she didn't think that she wasn't recognizable, but merely to suggest that she didn't have to call her Wonder Woman.

Speaking again to all of them, she started, "I do have plans to talk to Cid Amon when he comes back, we assume. I'm hoping to meet him in person to make sure that everything he says is indeed the truth. We have no reason to believe him otherwise, so finding out the validity of his statements would be beneficial for all travelers--not only ourselves. If he has nothing to hide, he will have no reason to reject my questions."
