Diana set down the Junogam, setting it on a nearby table. The main hall was not decorated--it was a waste of supplies to do so--but Diana wore her Amazonian colors as well as a cape that she had been wearing when she arrived. She took a bit of the fabric in her hand, smiling with nostalgia. Wearing a more formal costume and waiting to meet people to negotiate with was reminiscent of her days as an ambassador. It was a nice feeling. She often missed that time in her life.
But it was no time for regrets. Looking to the past was only a distraction when such an eventful future surely lay ahead. The last of the fruits and vegetables she had gathered in town lay on the tables as something to eat. Diana opened the doors to the hall, standing by it to welcome visitors.
