Summary: Yukiko from the past is missing a few crucial details about the investigation team's progress back in Inaba. Naoto is here to fill her in.
Disoriented, confused, and ultimately quite frightened by this situation, Yukiko Amagi found her way to the open air, expression completely unwritten in spite of everything. She barely knew--or at least, she thought she only barely knew--Naoto Shirogane, and yet he seemed to be the key player in what seemed to be a discrepancy in her memory. She would have to consult Yosuke and Souji later, of course, about why this Shirogane-san seemed to know so much about them, but for now she decided that she would learn the truth straight from the horse's mouth, so to speak. Adachi-san had instructed her not to do any digging, and she rarely ever did so without the advising of the investigation team's leader, but this unexpected situation found all of them at a loss for understanding--even Souji-kun, who seemed most capable in a crisis situation.
Waiting there, she organised what she might say, the sun continuing to disappear as her trains of thought charged on and subsequently derailed. How was she to ask about something that had never happened? It seemed like an impossible conversation. Regardless, Yukiko remained in the shadow of the growing night, waiting for her visitor. Maybe, by some random happenstance, this encounter would clear up this entire ordeal: the fantasy world would fade away and she would find herself in bed, dreaming.
Something about this notion stirred her stomach painfully, and she was startled to realise that she didn't want this to end...not yet. She had her own investigation, her own mysteries to unravel, in a fairytale world to which she was whisked. Just like in her fantasies, the ones she had banished back then, after she faced her true self. So, those secret desires weren't completely suppressed. Yukiko found herself unsurprised, but still bent to find the truth--just like everyone else.
