RIght. This caravan was wandering around claiming to be the only way home. It had a monopoly in that regard if the rumors were true, and while it might provide its service truthfully, that didn't mean it couldn't charge what it liked as the price of admission along the way.
If he wasn't on it, then he couldn't investigate it.
...By which he meant Badou couldn't investigate it.
He was becoming more and more certain that not only was this man a plant, but-
"I'm not a moron."
He didn't have to explain his little clash with Red to this guy, or explain how he got kicked out of the city for not explaining what he was. (Like he owed that to anyone, and like that would keep him behind the wall any longer, anyway.)
He scowled moodily at the floor, grip tightening on his mauser.
"I'm the last person to be on here because I want to go home. Leaving isn't something I can do until I find out what happened to my partner."
He just wanted to figure out how the place worked.
He rubbed his forehead with a grunt. Damn, this man was persistant... And...he wasn't getting it.
"If the host wants to show his face over my interior decorating, then he can do it."
How long was it going to take before this guy figured out how he operated and fucked off?
Messing up the room solved two of Heine's problems at once, in theory, and while he might look scary-dangerous, and wild as an animal, he was still very far from stupid, and certainly understood what it meant to provoke.
"Of course if you want to fight for his honor or whatever, first, I'd settle for going through you, then him to get the answers I want." Heine added, idly, already bored.
