warning- discussion of cat pooping follows

Jul 16, 2010 12:02

Well, Hermes resolutely refuses to poop on the human toilet. While he will pee down the toilet (and even chooses to do so in preference to using the litter tray when Isis has done a stinky poop), he WILL NOT POOP. If we remove the litter tray, he goes and poops neatly BESIDE the toilet. And then comes and pokes at me until I go and clean it up :( So he KNOWS that the toilet is the place for poop, he just won't do it ON the toilet.

What are my options? The cats cannot go outside during the day (not safe because there are killer dogs in the neighbourhood, Hermes gets scared of the outside, Isis can't go out in bright sunlight because of her wonky eye). I am sick of dealing with kitty litter ervery day. I really hoped (in an optimistic way) that they would go for using the human toilet, and indeed, they will both pee down the human toilet. Isis will poop on the tray on the human toilet, but so far hasn't actually pooped down the toilet. But Hermes WILL NOT POOP there.

p.s. for those late to the story, we are using the litter kwitter system
