Home Theater Optimization
Home theater question, and no communities seemed A) geared towards this, and those that did are B) not to active.
I have several Video Sources, composite from VCR (Provides cable feed - loop through-- and VCR video feed), S-Video from PC and Mac, and component from DVD player. All of these go into different inputs on my TV. The audio from each of these sources goes into my Receiver. So, in order to watch something, I not only need to change the video, but the audio inputs as well...with different remotes. So, I need a remote that can do multiple IR codes, or a Receiver than can scan convert all sources to component, so all I need to do is switch audio....as the video will always be hot.
I am well aware of the pronto, etc...that is just out of my price range for a remote. I did build a home automation system at one point with a touch panel, but that has since proved to be more cumbersome, as the panel is not movable.
Any suggestions?
