And Then it Turned into a Fic

Feb 07, 2007 22:09

A stream-of-consciousness exercise designed to get me writing again. (something. anything.) I hadn't intended to post it but was cheerfully encouraged to do so by terimaru and browncoat_2x2. Thanks as always to hfleming8 for the never-ending support.
I suppose we would call this PG.

Nameless Inara and Mal ficlet )

*sigh*

So perfectly gorgeous. Love it. Love the last bit, love the whole thing. Sweet and poignant and strong.

Coming from you, especially, Queen of poignant (what do you mean you don't write happy couples?), this means very much. Thanks.

Yes! you posted!

This is so beautiful and quiet and full of imagery and feeling and I love it so, as you know! I am compelled to go pimp it in my LJ now...

*hugs* Lovely, as only you can do, darlin....

Ooh, this was very lovely. Quiet, but with these little punches, like that last line, that really stick out. And I *love* the paragraph about Inara thinking about Mal as a child on Shadow. Thanks for sharing! *G*

Thanks for reading! I'm glad you enjoyed. I liked her thinking about that as well.

How absolutely, unspeakably lovely. This is what I love so much about Inara as a character - her observations about the people around her, so quietly accurate among all of the thunderous assumptions that flew about Serenity beyond her shuttle. And how gratifying to see her embrace something for herself, and plunge headlong and hopeful into the truly unknown. Beautiful.

Wow, even your comments are wonderfully written. :) Thank you. Our recent Inaras are in very different places, but still looking, still seeing. Thanks for commenting.
