Last Thursday, Marci and I went to see U2. It was, by far, the worst concert experience I've ever had, although it wasn't entirely U2's fault. But let me start at the beginning

And the worst part is....I NEVER LEARNED TO READ!mojomuzeOctober 25 2005, 12:28:56 UTC
Hey, I'm living alone in a hotel right now. At night, I have a lot of free time for reading. Don't expect me to read anything over 3 paragraphs when I get back to D.C., though. ;]
I saw Weezer, Tenacious D, and Jimmy Eat World in an arena and it was a great show. The Barenaked Ladies put on fun arena shows usually. I doubt they'd play big arenas that much anymore, though. They're not that popular these days. And of course there's DMB at large arenas. The first time I ever saw them, I thought they sucked, but I think it was just the venue because I saw them plenty of times after that and it was a good time. Outkast puts on a phenomenal show. I was very impressed by them. I'm going to stop, though, or I could get to writing about way too many bands and then lament that I don't go to nearly as many shows as I used to. The Foo Fighters are still on my list of bands to see -- don't they play with RHCP a lot?
I saw Billy Idol this past weekend - not in an arena - and it was pretty damned amusing watching all the 40-somethings attempting to re-live their youth (and also wearing things they should not wear). I missed "White Wedding" because we got lost in downtown Houston, so that made me sad.
Anyhow, I must get to work. Only 4 more days in Houston! Thank GOD!
