New Music Monday

Some new music I've purchased in the past two weeks:

Kaiser Chiefs - Employment
Grasshopper Takeover - International Dance Marathon
Grasshopper Takeover - Elephant Dreams
Kasabian - S/T
Robbers on High Street - Tree City
Doves - Some Cities
ViV - S/T
Jem - Finally Woken
The Lost Trailers - Welcome To The Woods

I haven't listened to any of them enough to really give my impressions. I will say that I'm very glad I have a Tower Records close by so I can listen to the sub-$10 listening station and be exposed to new stuff.

Tomorrow night Marci and I are going to a first-time house buyer's seminar. More for fun than for actually being able to afford a house in Northern VA (NoVA). Housing down here is horrific. A condo in PA that costs $180,000 costs $300,000 down here. You have to have a family income of at least $80,000/year to afford even the smallest domicile, and that's pushing your limit. Ideally, you'd have to make $100,000/year. The only way I could ever buy a house in this area is to either get married and for my wife to make just as much, if not more than I do, or whore myself out to 1,000 fat chicks for $1,000 each. Fat chicks need loving, too. But they have to pay.

I discovered chocolate chip pancake mix at Wegman's. Whenever I've wanted to make chocolate chip pancakes, I'd just throw some chocolate chips into the normal batter, but this is so much lazier! Perfect for me. Plus the brand is "Krusteaz," which makes me think of Krusty the Clown. I hardly endorse this event or product.
