the fire alarm is going off. it's been going for half an hour. it went off once before, and three fire engines turned up and the whole building was evacuated onto the street.
my stupid, irresponsible flatmate had all his friends round for his birthday. and they wrecked. the. flat. it is a sticky mess. and this includes exploding a large bottle of cleaning spray, which set off all the fire alarms.
he and his feckless friends are all out still, having a good time, while we sit in this filthy, noisy, toxic flat. we have all the windows open to aerate the place. it stinks. it is freezing. i am going to kill him and put his head on a pike.
