Brinley Watson never came to the library unless he was looking specifically for Illiad. Most of the time, he preferred to simply wait outside anyways, for his younger paramore to appear, should he need him.
In all cases, it was a good place for Illiad Hawkins to have a sulk. A cry, even, concerning his none-too-faithful lover. He's just chased a pair of spooning Hufflepuffs out of one of the darker corners of the library, threatening them with detention and all sorts of other curses. Mostly he hated them for spooning so close when he couldn't-- not when he was so angry over hearing about his lover's latest conquest. The unbearable pain caused him to lean against the far side of the shelving, to fall down to his knees with the agony of it all.
He hated Brinley's conquests, each and every one of them-- especially when he'd always been so loyal, so proud. Really, it was beginning to get quite ridiculous. Brinley said he loved him. But he never exactly acted like it.
With a glanced to his finger, he saw a spot of his eyeliner had run with the wiping away of his last tear. Bollix.
