It was a quiet eve, with snow heavy upon the grounds outside. One that made a woman glad that she had no business outdoors that she could not delay. And so, she was...puttering. She'd rearranged a counter top to clear it so that the lights given to her might sit above ( Read more... )

And that's how Jason found her when he made his way up from the Bar. He stood in the doorway, smiling at the way she sang as she puttered around in pants. He didn't even know she had any.

He stood and admired the view as she climbed on the counter. then called out happily.
"Not that I couldn't watch you do that all day, but would you like some help?"

She had a few pairs, she wore them to gather herbs in outdoors. It was only practical after all. Skirts simply lent her an air of authority that any young herbmistress needed upon occasion.

"Lord Jason!" she greeted when she leaned back to see outside of her current cupboard "...Yes! Yes! Come here" it;d be far easier to pass things to him than to keep climbing down...

But then he can't watch her climb back up again...

He grinned and sauntered towards her. "Isn't it a little early for spring cleaning?"

No, but he'd have a closer view? And a swinging braid to play with?

"I do not know if these...lamps...create heat, so I am moving some things just in case..." she admitted, passing a stoppered jar full of what seemed to be wax balls.

He took the jar from her, giving it an odd look before setting it aside.

"Good thinking." And so there IS a swinging braid. He gives it a playful tug, grinning mischievously.

"What were you singing when I came in?"

Odd looks were alright, after all, she expected very few to know what all a stillroom held.

She tilted her head back at the playful tug though, throwing a teasing green-over-gold look at him at such playfulness "I..." she paused to think, actually trying to remember what she'd been singing.

"Spring's Cup I believe. A morning vesper..."

He smiled. "It's pretty. I don't think I remember hearing you sing, or at least by yourself."

When Yrael sang, you didn't hear anyone else. That was just the way of it.

She blushed slightly at the compliment, but smiled none the less "Thank you...sometimes I miss it" she admitted.

And that? Completed that cupboard, so she turned and sat upon the counter for a moment, feet swinging gently.

"You should sing more, then."

He leaned against the counter and rested his hands on either side of her, grinning down at her swinging legs. "You're not planning on kicking me, are you?"

"The songs I know are songs of the abbey" she admitted simply "And I am not...a follower of Flame and Cup" it seemed almost wrong to sing them a purpose.

Then something like mischief bled into her smile, but her feet stilled, tucked as demurely against the lower cupboards as any skirt clad legs.

His eyes still flicked back to her feet every few moments, his own mischievous smile on his lips. He moved closer as if he wanted a kiss, eyes still flicking back and forth.

He laughed. "Then we'll have to teach you some new songs."

Those feet behaved. Truly they did...not planning to kick at all. Nope...

"I almost fear what songs you wouldst find for me, Lord" she teased gently, just out of kissing range.

"Hey, I know some nice songs..."

He leaned closer, but still not trying to kiss her. Mostly trying to keep the smirk off his lips.

"But I can teach you some dirty ones too if you like," he teased. He'd leaned so far over that he couldn't see her feet any longer...

"I do not doubt you know some nice songs" she chuckled softly "But I do doubt that they would be what you attempt to teach me..." she was slowly leaning back as he leaned forward until her head bumped the cupboard behind her gently.

And those sneaky, sneaky feet...were still behaving.

He found himself snickering when her head bumped the cupboard, and he leaned even closer.

"Well, now where will you go? You're trapped, baby. Guess you're gonna have to suck it up and kiss me."

Definitely forgotten about those sneaky feet.

"Oh, truly?" she asked simply, speaking just barely above his lips.

She could move fast when she must, such as now, her feet tucking up and bracing against either side of his hips and simply pushing until he was at leg length...

Yes, she was laughing, quietly.
