Yarn stash progress for Downtown LYS

Mar 28, 2009 11:45

Hello!
This week I've put all housework aside (in addition to anything else cluttering up my mind aside from mommying) and focused on building up an impressive stash of yarn for the downtown LYS. I'll bring most of the stash in on Tuesday, but I may add to it on First Friday. Here's a preview of some of my favorites so far:

Pictured Above:

"Fantastic Mascarada", 3 Ply Handspun Yarn
Superwash Merino, Sari Silk, Banana Fiber, Paper, Misc. Recycled Scrap Yarn, Tinsel, Bling, Farm Wool
9.8 Ounces, 88 Yards, Super Bulky Thick Thin, $110

It's some pretty intense art yarn.

Silk-Merino, Silk noil, Farm Alpaca, Tencel, Bling, Misc Recycled Yarn Scraps, Misc.
$90

The silk merino roving is from shunklies.etsy.com and created a very unique yarn!

Baby Alpaca, Superwash Merino, Banana Fiber, Misc Recycled Yarn Scraps, Bling, Misc.
$96

The banana fiber is from blondechicken.etsy.com and creates a silky eco friendly texture.

Thanks Blas and Jamie for all of your help via telephone and e-mail! They helped me work through that three ply, and explained the diz some more to me. Which I can't wait to start using! I'm hoping to have some hand pulled roving type fibers from my batts using the diz.... to sell in my etsy shop. (Wish me luck on that project, ha!)

Right now I have some mill spun baby alpaca drying and dyeing, from my favorite farmer. Should be finished in time to list in my etsy shop today. Refreshing.

In other news, totally unrelated non fibery news... I started jogging daily and eating better. Lets hope it pays off in both lbs lost around my waist and energy levels.

Love you guys. and girls... especially the girls!

Keep it Knitty,
Rachel-Marie
