United Party, LYS News, Maggie's Birthday!

Nov 06, 2008 19:34

Last night we all celebrated at my sister in law's, a Patriotic Obama party. I'll remember that forever. My SIL Regina is planning a trip to the inauguration, I'm so excited! Someday Octavian will be able to tell his kids, and grandkids that he was there.

(Miles turned 1) Here are the rest of the party pics!

I added a new "United" yarn to the shop. I think the name says it all... here is a photo of it at the Lancaster Yarn Shop.

Today is my best bud's birthday! Happy Birthday Mow-Dawg! I hope you enjoy your basket of gnomey-skully things I have collected for you.

Items from: Mommalicious, Lumpkin, Chopstixwaits, Friedokra, Spidercamp, Sugarcake, Laladexpress and more! Maggie I hope your birthday was wonderful. You deserve it, you're such a thoughtful, ethical, good friend and overall good human being! If you're in the area please shop art on the farm this weekend, wish Maggie a belated happy birthday she'll be sellin her skully abstracty whimsy items and art!

and I wish you all much success and happiness at the Handmade Arcade in Pittsburgh this weekend
(Lumpkin and Cityspun I'll be thinkin of you!)

This is kind of a last minute gig, but I'm spinning at the yarn shop Friday night for First Friday! Come say hello, I get nervous and my friends make me feel better... =) I plan to be there around 6:30. I just dropped off a ton of new yarn, and a new dolly girl (Moody Mindy). So there is lots to see! Not to mention a whole new "Yarn Sampler Station", 25 cent/2 yards you can sample any of the yarns you like for your crafty projects! Here's a bit of my photoshoot today:

New Whorled Peace Wine Glass Charms

Some of my own (new) hand dyed chunky weight wools

If you pick up a copy of Fig you'll see a bit fat LYS feature in the front-ish and some silk-cash yarn in the back! Congrats, Wendy!

On top of all of that! I finally updated my website to include all of my new retailers! In addition to Urban Fauna Studio, and LYS, I am also thrilled to be invited to retail at wooldancer.com an Australian Fiber Art website.

I talked to Wendy today and she said that we're starting our classes at LYS in January! I'm developing an indie fiber arts class, I'll give details as I decide on them =). Let me know if you have any suggestions/requests!

Shwoo! That's all, I have to package up some orders and get ready for our knitting group/First Friday tomorrow! Have a fibery Friday!

Love,
Rachel-Marie
