knittydirtygirlFirst Off, Thank you for all of the comments on my
give away post! They are all very encouraging, I love all of the links and suggestions! I haven't replied to any comments yet because I was worried about the "50 comment" max. But, if I his reply I think it will be fairly simple to exclude my own comments from the count. So, I will start replying to all of your comments tomorrow!
Secondly I'll just chat with you about my day. I had to take care of some difficult etsy business today, I will be vague about details but it was stressful. Money is so tight, I need any dollar I can get!
I didn't get any real relief until I took the kids out on a long 1.5 hour walk (Pictured is Octavian outside today in the beautiful weather). The weather was perfect, and I really enjoyed it. My favorite part was smelling someone's laundry fabric softener come out of their house and into the air. It was only a moment, but that is one of my favorite smells. When I purchase any scents I usually buy scents like "cotton" that remind me of that smell.
Also, while on my walk I spotted someone I went to high school with. I'm almost 100% positive it was them. (My high school is a few hours away from Lancaster!) This particular person is very special because he played the part of Danny in our school play "Grease". He must live in my neighborhood now, weird!
While at the park I spotted a really nice hairdo on a cute little girl, corn row pigtails with beads. I asked the mother how long it took her to braid. She said one hour. One hour???? That woman got skills. It takes me 2 hours minimum to take out Zoey's hair, wash it, brush it, and rebraid it. haha and 5 hours to do anything spectacular. Oh well, I'm getting better. My next hair goal is to braid her whole head in tiny plaits. Usually I separate it into pigtails first and then do the tiny braids. Wish me luck!
Now, I'm happy to share with you some little inspirations I have been collecting!
First Off, some adorable art dolls from Cathy Cullis at
novembermoon.com. They really get me in the mood to create.
The pink one is still available in her shop! "May Queenie has been created using papier mache, fabric, handspun and commercial wool yarns, vintage buttons, paint and lots of careful stitching." I love her recycled papier mache parts!
Wow, it really is astounding. All of the beautiful, high quality art and crafts you can make using recycled materials. What clever, novel ideas! Next is some egg carton artwork by by Enno de Kroon. You have to look closely at his work in all of the nooks and crannies to see his ingenious designs.
Here is English text on his work.
Lastly, of course I had to include some fusing inspiration, because I'm such a bag lady. A fused plastic bag dress by
Artbear. She's made my dream a reality. You will enjoy her flickr!

and as my favorite fellow Austrian musical says:
I'm glad to go,
I cannot tell a lie.
I flit, I float,
I fleetly flee, I fly.
The sun has gone to bed and so must I
So long, farewell, auf wiedersehen, goodbye,
Rachel-Marie
