Okay...these are all out of my book journal, so take what you like :)

To Kill a Mocking Bird (Harper Lee)
-"If you can learn a simple trick, Scout, you'll get along a lot better with all kinds of folks. You can never really understand a person until you consider things from their point of view-until you climb into his skin and walk around in it" (Atticus)
-"You're too young to understand it, but sometimes the Bible in the hand of one man is worse than a bottle of whiskey in another" (Miss Maudie)
-"There are some kinds of men who are so worried about the next world that they've never learned to live in this one and you can look down the street and see the results" (Miss Maudie)
-"Simply because we were licked a hundred years before we started is no reason for us not to try and win." (Atticus)
-"Mockingbirds don't do one thing but make music for us to enjoy. They don't eat up people's gardens, don't nest in corncribs, they don't do one thing but sing their hearts out for us. That's why it's a sin to kill a mockingbird." (Miss Maudie)
-"They're certainly entitled to think that, and they're entitled to full respect for their opinions, but before I can live with other folks, I've got to live with myself. The one thing that doesn't abide by majority rule is a person's concious." (Atticus)
-"I wanted you to see what real courage is, instead of getting the idea that courage is a man with a gun in his hand. It's when you know you're licked before you begin but you begin anyway, and you see it through no matter what. You rarely win, but sometimes you do."
-"One must lie under certain circumstances, and at all times when you can do nothing about them." (Scout)

Postcards from the Edge (Carrie Fisher)
-"The last few years I've become an accepted essentric at best, and a fuck up at worst. I feel like I'll let people down if I take away the behavior they've grown accustomed to disapproving of."
-"God never gives us any more than we can handle, so if he gives you a lot to handle take it as a compliment. It's because he thinks you can handle a lot."
-"I was out with someone the other day and I said I didn't like sushi. I called it "whale gums" and he said "Really? You don't like it? I hate it too!" and it was like he was saying "FINALLY! Somebody who understands me!"
-" 'We live in America,' he said. 'Everyone who speaks English understands you. How they interpret you is something else.' "

Lullaby (Chuck Palahniuk)
-"The problem with every story is that you tell it after the fact."
-"The trick to forgetting the big picture is to look at everything close up."
-"Doesn't reincarnation strike you as just another form of procrastination?"
-"There are worse things you can do to the people you love than kill them."

The Widow of the South (Robert Hicks)
-"She'd never been weak. She'd been buffeted and knocked down, like grass bent to the ground by the wind preceding a thunder storm. She'd been slow to get up, but she did get up eventually"
-"I learned we can become accustomed to anything, which is why things can seem to us like they're in their proper place when they aren't. We just don't pay attention after a while"
-"Left behind is a matter of interpretation, I guess. It depends on knowing where you had wanted to go and where you are, and the difference between the two."
-"He loved me, you know. A girl like me, I can be loved, too. It ain't impossible."
-"There is a kind of lovliness to be seen in a man who pursues a doomed cause not out of ignorance, which would be ugly, but in the full knowledge that he is bound to fail."

Thats all i got at the moment (new book journal)...but I'll quote spam you more as I go along :)
