a week in haiku

this week's not so good.
my employer stands me up.
i waste time waiting.

instead of working,
i wash my car, do laundry.
making no money.

i do get stuff done
but i have a trip to fund.
she needs to call back.

besides doing chores,
i nap and watch pete and pete
or bake some cookies.

tried selling books back.
i had three years worth of books,
but old editions.

they took only three.
i only got eight fifty.
man, what a rip off.

tried selling records.
from a box they took seven.
i got fourteen bucks.

and that is my week.
the weather has been perfect,
a reason for smiles.
