alyse and i went to the fair. i was kinda disappointed. pretty much all the rides were variants of the orbiter and the scrambler. i paid $20 for a ride-all-day wristband. alyse made it to four rides before getting sick. that is about $4 less than the wristband's value. last year we had to stop after 4 rides too. i'm sensing a pattern. we'll just have to pump that girl full of dramamine and try again.
we ate jumbo corn dogs and sipped on icees until her dizziness went away. then we had a swordfight with the extra long corn dog sticks while she recited dialogue from hook. "dark and sinister man, have at thee!... bad form!"
currently this town is having the "peanuts on parade" festival. last year different statues of charlie brown were placed all over town. this year it is woodstock. there are over 70 of these woodstock statues. alyse, grandma, and i have taken our pictures with 10 of them.
i printed up a hitlist and i'm crossing them off with intimidating red sharpie x's as a bad joke.
tomorrow is the day that i fly out to florida. it will be a long flight. i hope i don't run out of things to do. grandma can only fill out mad libs with me so many times...
because it is cheap, i bought a paid account. that means i will probably be phone posting while i am abroad this month. there are three different trips to complete in the next few weeks. i keep wondering if i can enjoy myself in florida knowing that i have to take a flight to socal immediately afterward. and the same for socal before my trip to oklahoma. i don't know how i end up so busy. am i doomed to be busy for the rest of my life?
