This looks like my sort of forum so I will say HI and comment on the stuff on the forum's front page relative to my goals:

Know Thine Payback And Strive To Hasten It. As starting technology, many ideas will not have a good payback for those initially trying it. I will instead strive to estimate the potential cost if commercial distribution and professional installation with competition in place.

In The Details Lieth Both God And The Devil. Over-planning can be a waste of time when prototypes physically find errors in theory or practicality. I plan enough to be efficient in my prototype construction and testing.

Homes Should Be Liveth'd In, Not Liveth'd For. People seem to be unable to change the thermostat switch between Summer and Winter twice a year so I plan to have things as maintenance free and idiot proof as possible.

Art Doth Enrich The Abode. While new designs might be interesting, beautiful, and practical, it is still a big jump to get ordinary people to buy an extraordinary house design. I strive to make the new house designs look so normal that nobody will be able to recognize them as different. It is a little bit boring that way but it leaves the option of renovating existing homes into high efficient ones.
