I realized it's my first entry for 2012 and it's actually a complaint against the camp!
Well today was my 8th RT over there, which meant another attempt at the IPPT for failing mine in the first place...
The first bad sign was the bad weather that followed with thunderstorms and heavy rain during the in-pro. I suspect that somehow fizzled ONLY one chin-up machine's circuit board because they weren't able to start it up despite several pressing here and there.
So that really meant that the Q for the only remaining machine left increased exponentially (as I realized alot of people wanted to finish that first before moving on to other stations). By the time it's my turn, I knew that over an hour has gone by and I don't have much energy left for it due to frustration from the waiting and had to use the other stations first. Which got me thinking; have the PTIs never encountered such a situation whereby everyone DIE DIE has to finish all four stations before taking their 2.4km run? I knew the PTI sitting at the chin up station kept looking back at the Q but... he just didn't say anything. That was when the second bad sign started to kick in; my sore throat went bad again despite me drinking water again and again, which in the end I started drinking my own blood instead from every swallow...
Anyways I wasn't in my best mood when it finally comes to the run but at least I still want to maintain my record despite the sore throat (trust me, panting through the mouth is like having a fork piercing inside your mouth with every breath you take...) So the dramatic finale at my end-point? I spit out quite a bit of blood mixed up with the saliva but I guessed the two PTIs were busy looking at each other or something (which I hate to admit but the shorter one is yummy cute! :P)
Ah yes... all 3s and 1 zero (DAMMIT)... another 12 more RTs to go for another 2-3 weeks?
