I just had a shouting argument with my aunt in the office over the boss' redemption of points from his credit card. Apparently the easily way of getting the vouchers would be through his personal internet banking instead of the usual long waiting over the phone.
But the catch is that my boss is not the technie-savvy type; which really meant WE have to do it on his behalf. To me, this is not what I am paid to have within my job-scope (read: personal assistant), even though it's just to reach out a helping hand. However my aunt stepped over the line by stating that we get paid to work, not to stare into the screen every single day. Holding onto someone else's personal information is NEVER what I will have. I mean, you never know when in future shifting blames will occur or something.
And even if it means to fake as my boss to redeem the vouchers over the phone, I will never do the impersonation, much less than just verifying with the usual how-many-credit-cards-you-are-holding or identification number.
The way my aunt put it across to me earlier simply irritated me with her simple way of looking at things. And that's just one TINY implication at work which I almost encounter everyday in the office with her. It's upsetting on my own side that if I decided to leave the company, the most stressed will be given onto my ownself...
