Ahaha, the doc Friday was like, "Yeah, if this is EDS, it's really rare. A local hospital like this can't diagnosis it. You need to go to a big university hospital."
Also, my knees are total shit, ahaha. He did an ultrasound on them, and was like, "Wow, yeah, there's almost no lubricating fluid left in your knee." Ahahaha *headdesk*
He...wanted to get me BIGGER knee braces, and I was like, "DUDE NAW."
However, he said something I very much needed to hear - that I was probably in a lot of pain a lot of the time, and more pain than I thought, because I'd just gotten used to it. I needed to hear because I've always been told I was just being a drama queen and blowing things out of proportion and no way could I be that hurt. I'm always so paranoid as a result that I'm not as bad off as I think and I'm just being a big baby, so being validated really, really meant something.
So. Next week or the week after, off to Kyodai I go. I have a nice (thick) letter from the rheumatologist I saw Friday to give them (plus he'd already called them), and...yeah. Hooboy.
