Yuri managed to never give him a negative impression, either: he was smart and sensible, and even though he was human, he commiserated with Mithos on...a comfortably equal level, I guess? He didn’t make Mithos feel judged or lectured or pressured, which is rare. He also appeals to Mithos’s inner troll, in turn: Mithos loves to bait people, and when Yuri reacted by just snarking right back he was actually, honestly amused. He had a ‘pff, touché’ moment. IT WAS PRETTY RAD.
Some of Mithos’s additional interest in Yuri past that is secondhand...ish? Because Flynn started describing what was going on in Vesperia’s world and there are a bunch of similarities to Symphonia world (IT DIDN’T EVEN GET INTO SPIRITS AND MANA, GOSH) and he also mentioned that Yuri was the dude going to go fight the big world-threatening thing! And Mithos found that odd because Yuri seems way too laid back to be a hero, and he wants to find out more about it. He’s also, uh, preferring to stay on Yuri’s good side so he can ask him more stuff about Flynn, because it is totally easier to do that than to just ask Flynn himself. Totally.
IN CONCLUSION we should definitely thread more, because Mithos getting teased about his ~feelings~is always funny.
