[there were cats all over the world. Whether they were the large feral kind or the small tame variety, it didn't change the fact that Suzaku - despite being named after a legendary bird - had always been fond of cats. Sadly, the feelings had never been mutual. Apparently, being (technically) dead and in another world didn't change that very

It seems as though the cat does not quite like you, sir. She silently teases. (There may even be a small grin forming around the snack stuffed in her mouth.)]

[much to his chagrin, it didn't seem to want to let go]
Now really isn't the time for this.
[this had to be Lelouch's fault somehow. Were Suzaku's flamboyant gestures as Zero not enough already?]

However, despite what he does, it really does seem as though he's having a bit of trouble with that cat. Perhaps the animals were just as fond as him as they were of them? All animals - and even people - showed their affection in different manners. Even if it some were a little more violent and aggressive than others. Or perhaps he has a scent or taste that they cannot help but like?

Ah?
[She points to herself. Me? She didn't think that they knew each other - after all, despite meeting so many people Amaterasu thought that she had a pretty good memory for faces and names, but he...was unfamiliar.]
Mm-mm.
[She shakes her head, the movement more unsure than it is making a firm statement.]

You're...?
[she vaguely reminded him of C.C. but in what way, he couldn't say. Still, if the other woman said they have never met then he wouldn't press]
My mistake then, I'm sorry.

The thought makes silver-white ears flick slightly, one swivels to press to the back of her head as the other keeps forward.]
Mm! [She waves her free hand before her, to the young man as if to tell that it was okay and he didn't need to apologize. It was a simple mistake that seemed to commonly happen from time to time.]
But she points to his hand then, the one that the cat hand been all over moments before. The way she does it, the way her expressions turns into thoughtful question, is apparent that she wants to know if he is okay.]
