This place is collectively referred to as 'The World'. It works in a similar way to Aselia; monsters roam the fields freely and the towns are kept safe via the Chaos Gate - you should have woken up next to one when you got here.
[through the explanation, Richter sounds strangely distant. As if his thoughts were elsewhere]
