[ Oh hey, another new person in Mac Anu. Simon's pretty much wandering around by the entrance to where the Chaos Gate is looking rather bewildered. Strange armor, no cellphone, and it's looking freakishly similar to the MMOs he used to playing. He's not feeling good about this after what he's just gone through -- dealing with a guy who thought he

[changing directions, he walked over to where Simon was before speaking]
There doesn't appear to be a Creator here. [so many ways to interpret that line]

No, there has to be someone. A- [ He pauses, fidgeting, trying to find the right words to use. ] Whoever made this place-- this game.

[wait, no, more important things at hand] We haven't been able to locate them. If there is a Creator behind The World then they haven't shown themselves.
Though it appears that they have moderators keeping tabs on everyone in their place.

[ A grimace. That's not the answer he was hoping for. Not at all. This is all rather overwhelming, but he was trying to keep calm. If it's someone using their superpower like he thought then there has to be a foreseeable end. ]
How long have you been here?

[it's impossible to see the face behind the tinted glass of Zero's Mask, but even the voice changer can't hide the fact that Suzaku sounded like he didn't want to admit the actual answer to that question] This will be my tenth month here in The World.

[ He's a little taken aback by the response. He stared, not quite believing what he had heard. ] Ten months you say? But-- [ There goes his theory that it's someone using their power. ] The storm was only a couple weeks ago...
[ He grimaced. This was all too bizarre, but he's not about to lose hope. However, he's alarmed by the new tidbit of information. Ten months was a long time. ] Whenever something like this happens in the films, the hero always gets out by completing some sort of quest and finishing the game. Haven't you tried something like that?

[a pause]
Quests are common place here. If there is another, greater task we need to accomplish then we have been given no clues as to what it is.
[his tone of voice changes momentarily, something softer; a genuinely curious question] You... liked playing video games too, didn't you?

So, you've been playing the game and still nothing. [ He seems crestfallen. Obviously, getting out isn't going to be as easy as he thought it would. ]
It's a legitimate hobby. [ He pauses for a moment. Strange place or not, he still wants to make a good impression on people. ]
And you? I mean do you like games as well? Or...other hobbies?
[ He clears his throat. ] I'm Simon.

... I preferred driving games when I was young, but- [stop, then shakes his head] I haven't had much time for those in a long time. [for a moment there, he sounds almost sad... But it's covered up soon enough by a steady reply;]
Call me 'Zero'.
Reply
[ His lips quirk in an almost smile. ] Plenty of time now to play games, I suppose.
It's nice meeting you, Zero. Thank you. For explaining things to me.

... Oh, if you want to contact people without walking up to them, the Relic is what is used to communicate. [and he points to the rather inconspicuous pouch at Simon's side]
Reply
[ He promptly starts fiddling with it, pausing for a moment to look back up at Zero. ] Can you text in here?
Reply
Yes, hang on... [he pulls out his own Relic, holds it out to Simon and- beep beep, here's his member address!] Once you've exchanged member addresses, you can send them flashmails from your Relic. You'll receive a few from the admins as well, if there's anything important happening.

[ Simon watches, fascinated. ] That's it? No typing in numbers? [A pause. He hesitates. ] Can I tex--flashmail you?
Reply
... I wouldn't have given you my member address I didn't want you messaging me. [said bluntly, like it's the most obvious thing ever. Come on now]
Reply
[ He's taken aback by the bluntness. He fidgets, not sure how to respond. ] Oh, well...Thank you.
